Hello,

I am looking for answers about software licenses.
I am new to software development and i have just completed my b/degree.

I am creating a windows based software for an organization. (with Visual Studio Express and C# language and .NET framework). My question is : Do I need to get any license to publish my software for commercial use or is it free for usage?

please reply asps.

Thanks and Regards,

No. You need no licence to produce commercial software using the express edition, provided you write all the code yourself - if you use source code from here or from another manufacturer then you may need a licence and that may or may not have a price or come with restrictions. But any code you write yourself requires no licence or payment to anyone for you to sell it.

Some distributions services such as iTunes or Google Play may want a cut if you use them however.

Good luck! (And if you make a ton of money, remember us here! )
