How Do I Detect A Marke In A Video Coming Over Hdmi..?

Hi all ,
I am looking for a code to detect a marker in a video coming over hdmi..My research so far says it can be achieved through libcec but m not able to find any relevant code for that.Any light on this would be really appreciated.
