Read data from a com port to directly in excel

I want to read data from any com port like COM1 and show that value in directly in excel without using any software.
I am using MS Office 2010 and communication is using RS232.
If any body have idea then share.

I have already seen this link but it shows only code not the procedure.
and might be it is for office 2003 i'm using 2010.
