Is QT a good framework for creating GUI in C++?

I have been programming in c++ for quite a while and until now I have been creating simple console programs. But now i want to create GUI using c++ like simple forms/desktop apps etc. I have researched online and found that QT is a good framework for creating GUI's in c++. Is it a good option to choose QT for building GUI's in c++. Can i build games using QT GUI? Also, can anyone suggest me some books/tutorial which might help me get some detailed information about learning how to create GUI's using c++? Thanks

Solution 1

It is quite heavy to port, but there is only one person able to tell you if it is good or not: you. Try it: if you like it then it is good, if you don't find yourself comfortable then try alternatives like GTK.
