I am really struggling on how about I write this in to C# Language, I've only just got the basics of writing code.

The Question Is

On selecting the “Play” button, when the TextBox/es under “Player 1 Name” or “Player 2 Name” in the GroupBox title “Player Names”, does NOT contain the names of the players, then have the application show a MessageBox, stating “You must enter a Name for 'Player 1'.” or “You must enter a Name for 'Player 2'.”.

Be massive helppp

Thanks

:)

===EDIT: Please use proper titles that explain what you are trying to do.===

Please provide the code you tried to write so we can assist you with it?

Please consider posting your comments and suggestions re the style and content of the question-asked as comments, rather than inserting a message into the body of the question-asked. If people start doing this, it will lead to a mess, and it draws attention to yourself (if signed), and away from the question.

I think it's very helpful if you give a small example of what you mean by an editorial style suggestion: in this case, what would a "proper title" look like ? Do remember that many posters here are not native English-language writers.

cheers, Bill

Well aware they are not native speakers of the English language. I changed the title because it didn't reflect what the OP needed. The old topic title was something really silly.

If i edit something on here, its done on my own time, and i do it to help-out and keep the site tidy. I've seen other members edit questions just like i did, and i followed suit. I also see people putting comments like mine as answers.

I have seen some folks edit posts and put insults in the Title; I promptly report that as abuse. I am sure your intention is to be helpful !

In my experience it is very rare to see someone insert an editoiral comment in the OP's post of any type, particularly one that includes their name, and I think that's a bad practice.

It creates a distraction from the question. If you are the last editor of the post, your name shows up already.

The fact that some people here (including some of the highest-ranked MVP's) put sermons, editorial comments, etc., as solutions is also, imho, a bad practice that dilutes the value of QA in the long run, and sets a bad example for "reputation hounds."

We may not be able to change that, but ... as in so many other areas of life ... we can hold ourselves to a higher standard.

These are things that i will learn as I assist others on the site. I didn't know or think there was a problem with editor comments as i have seen it before; as i said, that's why I done it. Lets just leave it there Bill, as the OP hasn't even got an answer yet.

Live and learn. ;)

We do not do your homework: it is set for a reason. It is there so that you think about what you have been told, and try to understand it. It is also there so that your tutor can identify areas where you are weak, and focus more attention on remedial action.

Try it yourself, you may find it is not as difficult as you think!

If you meet a specific problem, then please ask about that and we will do our best to help. But we aren't going to do it all for you!
