sorry for that

You do realize that YouTube changes things once in a while to prevent you from doing what you're doing, right?

What you're doing violates YouTubes Terms of Service. They can do whatever they want to prevent you from downloading videos.

it is definitely youtube which give a platform to distribute copy right work. It is definitely youtube which violates the copy rights of a lot of artists.

And that justifies what in this context?

No it does definitively not! I only tried to show also "the other part".

Again, what does that have to do with this question?

...nothing...

I wonder about what YouTube's TOS really is, since well-known commercial down-loaders that have hundreds-of-thousands of users do integrate themselves into browsers and allow download of YouTube videos.

I've used the commercial software "Internet Download Manager" for years; great software, never charged for updates with cool new features. It even presents a menu in YouTube browsed in Chrome, or other browsers, that lets you select which resolution version of a video you want to download.

And, no, I have no connection with the company, and, yes, I paid for the software :)

If high-profile companies can provide this download service, then I'd guess that either the TOS is liberal, or YouTube's lawyers are lazy.
