MySQL server is not apperaing in server explorer of vb 2010

hey guys..its me again, and this time I have installed XAMPP, and localhost is now accessible thru my browsers, but the problem is the server for MySQL does not appear on my server explorer whenever I try to connect to the data source that will be used by my application..I already set the references for mysql.data after I have installed Mysql .Net Connector version 6.6.5 and apache and mysql is also running fine according to xampp..not that its much of a problem anyway but I prefer using server explorer in creating and viewing my database tables coz I dont have to switch windows in getting it done..anyone knows how to solve this one? much thanks in advance.. :)
