How to fix "Connection to the layout renderer failed" in xamarin?

Hi,

I having installed all sdk including xamarin. When i doubl click on filename.xaml thn got the following errors,

"Connection to the layout renderer failed. this may be caused by misconfiguration of java Please close and open the file again."

Jusy Copy AndroidDesigner.jar

from
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Xamarin Studio\AddIns\MonoDevelop.MonoDroid\java\AndroidDesigner.jar"

to
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Xamarin\Xamarin.Android\4.7.04014\java\AndroidDesigner.jar"

This works well for me :) ;)

Solution 1

same problem no solution. I'm using the code editor to edit then check the results on the emulator. Bluestacks is a good alternative to the default one and faster more responsive
