Is there a clear procedure to install HDInsight on a Windows platform?

Hi,

I have been trying to install HDInsight on a windows platform but without success. I'm wondering if there is a clear procedure to install it, which version of windows it is compatible with and if there is a direct link to download it (without using the web platform installer.

What happens when you follow the instructions above ? Are you trying to install on a "remote" computer via some form of automation, or using Power Shell (I doubt that's the case).

Are you using a non-English Win OS:

"The HDInsight Emulator currently only supports English OS. If you a previous version of the Emulator installed, you must uninstall the following two components from Control Panel/Program and Features before installing the latest version of Emulator."

Without details of what you have tried, and specifc information about what does not work; it's very difficult to assist you.
