How shall I enable Clean Solution sub-menu under Build menu in Visual Studio 2013

By default Clean solution was not available in Build menu. I added the Clean solution sub-menu from Tools->Customize->Add Commands->Build->Clean.
After above procedure I got Clean solution sub-menu but in disabled mode. Its never enabled for any project. Kindly let me know how to enable it?

Solution 1

In the Tools, Options dialog navigate to "Projects and Solutions" in the left hand pane. Make sure that "Show advanced build configurations" is ticked

It is ticked only. But still its disabled. I have reset the settings. How shall I add Build_>Clean menu?

Was it already ticked? If you've have just ticked it you will need to exit VS and go back in

Don't you just love Visual Studio?! It will sometimes just not play the game.
You could try creating a new solution and loading the projects into that, or try a full rebuild of the solution first, close VS then re-open.
