Send Email Alerts in ASP.Net

Dear,

I have ASP.Net website with MSACCESS backend. I want to send the alerts to users periodically. How to do it? Currently using with ASP.Net coding, but this one when users open or access that page then only the email will go.

Please any other solutions

Try with Window Service.

Create some console apps to send the emails(and connect to your database) and schedule them to run periodically using windows Task Schedular
