How to make an installable jar file

I want to make an installable jar file.
I know how to make the jar executable in netbeans, but this does not work for me, since I want to install my app in my desktop.
Can someone please tell me how to do this in netbeans, so I can install it in ubuntu?

You can just copy the jar file to the system that you want it installed on.
