What kind of text area?
This depends on the kind of the used GUI and the used text control.

a normal text in powerpoint(in MS-Office) or impress(in Libreoffice).

You have tagged your question as C++ in a programming forum. So everyone here thinks that you want to do that programmatically.

It would be better to ask such questions in MS Office and LibreOffice specific forums. Because these Office products are different, there is probably no similar way to change the color and you have to ask in different forums.

Overall I don't think that both products support this. As far as I know, you can only change the background color of complete slides or inserted frames.

You have not even taken pain to share what GUI framework you are using? 1. Qt, 2. Win32, 3. MFC. These were a few that came into my head right now. How can I help you out if you won't even share the context.

Please update your question and add these details to it. Then tell what do you want to do. It would be easy for us to help you too.

See OP's other two questions.

1 solution

Text or words are usually written in some control e.g. textbox or combobox

And every control has property for background color.

Use this property and play with colors
