How to compress HTTP data transfer

My website working slow. I think this is happen because of my HTTP data transfer is high it is more than 400MB per month, can any one help me to make fast running website.My website data transfer statistics is as below

Did you checked "Content-Encoding" header in HTTP response from your website?
Content may be compressed already.

It compressed already. but still my website is slow

i try this, any other solution to make my website run faster. i use compress gzip but my data is too large
