Has anyone knows how I can pause and resume video capture ?? I tried the pause() method of the IMediaControl interface, but it failed... any ideas ?

So there is no need to save video with overlay text in an Avi (or other format video) file? Why need the video to be paused? To see the picture? Then I would say: do not pause, there are other ways to see the picture to be saved.

Ok.... well this works. The preview also pauses, but that'll do. /// /// Pause the current capture capture. Call again to unpause. /// If there is no current capture, this method will succeed.

First up, great class! By far the best encapsulation of DirectShow for C# I've seen. I need to be able to Pause capture such that the preview remains active, and the video/audio stream to file is paused. Then, I need to be able to resume streaming

Hi , Thanks for reply. Actually my requirements are: 1) The capture interface should have ability to overlay text onto the captured digital video and saving it for later use.We may not have to overlay text while capturing , but may be after capturi
