I've signed up for a climbing course in March and want to make the best of it.
A couple of stone (12 kg) need to go before then.
I reckon a couple of swims a week and removing booze and cheese from the diet should do it.
Best Wishes to everyone for 2008

I resolved a few weeks ago to actually have a budget. Put one together a couple days ago.
One word: TAXES

Marc, do you have any general advice on getting paid more for a short term job? Multiplying the estimate by PI ( ) doesn't seem to make the client happy. Thanks.

Hmm, there's a question! Is it short term because of a crisis, or just the nature of the work? If it's a crisis, the client pays for their crisis, usually 1.2 to 2x. Also, will it require that you drop all other work? That usually requires some additional factoring in as well. A harder question is (especially if it's full time work), what's your anticipated down time after you finish the short term project, while you look for new work?
So, no answers, but more questions that might help get to an answer.

Thanks a lot. The client has a crisis, it is just that he does not know it yet or does not want to know.

Why not? You still get the number buttons 1 through 5 besides a thumbs up and thumbs down? You ought to be logged on to see them though.
