Problem

While trying to open the certificate store using the MMC, I got a frequent error "Microsoft Management Console has stopped working"

In the event log I found an error

Faulting application name: mmc.exe, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bc808
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5be02b
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Fault offset: 0x00000000000c6cd2
Faulting process id: 0x7f4
Faulting application start time: 0x01cafc1aa296b702
Faulting application path: C:\windows\system32\mmc.exe
Faulting module path: C:\windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
Report Id: e5d7c685-680d-11df-85f7-90e6ba9ec58c

Workaround

The workaround is by opening the certificate store directly without using MMC
1.Click start
2.In run command type"certmgr.msc"
3.Click enter
