It is very difficult to say what you should learn or what not. This is more a question you have to answer on your own. Points that you should consider are: What do you like more? What are you good at in this moment and what do you think you should improve?

About the languages in high demand... it depends another time of many factors. Real-Time processes? Embebbed solutions? Web? Database? Industry? PC-World? Each sector has its own "favourites". I don't think you will need the same if you want to work in game development than if you want to develope software for hospitals or for a big firm or for a bank.

In resume, first of all. Find out what you like and where do you think that can be good for you (going to a workplace where you enjoy is the most important thing). Then investigate a bit what do you need to have a work in this area.

Programming world is too wide and nobody can be good in all subjects.
