I'm currently waiting for a reply from the bank to start testing. I just wanted to check if I was missing anything. Sending direct deposit data and not being secure because I forgot something in my code could come back to bite me later. Just trying to make sure all my t's are crossed.

Why, doesn't google work for you? If you want code try rentacoder or similar and pay for it.

Are you trying to run executable from network location like shared partition?

To do something like this, you REALLY need to understand Code Access Security. I suggest Googling that and reading everything you can.
In the .NET world, every piece of code that is executing from a source that is not local to the machine (i.e.: any network share) is NOT trusted. In your case, all of your code is executing in a heavily restricted sandbox where it has no permissions to do anything, including talk to databases. You need to tell each machine on the network that will run your code to either trust the network location the code came from or to trust only assemblies signed with a certain key. You'd normally do this through a Group Policy in Active Directory.

how can i give permission to database

The problem has nothing to do with the database. Your code is not being allow to connect to the database because your running the code from a network share. If you read up on Code Access Security and you'd know that.

You'll find the .msc file that it launches "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\SDK\v2.0\Bin\mscorcfg.msc". That's the .NET 2.0 Configuration tool.

Hi all,
Have small doubt in keydown event:
in Vb6.0 i have worked with key down Event code but it is not working in vb.net; can any one guide me reg this please
Private Sub Txtpack_KeyDown(KeyCode AS Integer, Shift As Integer)
If KeyCode = 13 Then
cmdverify_Click
End If
End Sub

Is this the code you're using in VB.NET or VB6? To use it in .NET the first thing you need to do is to add an Handles clause to the method's signature (unless you've added an event handler somewhere else in your code, of course).

hi,

Pick up a book on beginning VB.NET. You're not going to find a single web page that describes all of the concepts you need in a step-by-step organized manner. You'll find all kinds of pages that describe single concepts and constructs, but inconsistently and without anything tying those concepts together.

Good idea. I would also allow the user to decide on the colour. Perhaps you could post the code when you have done it so we can all use it.

What these guys are trying to tell you is, you didn't ask a question, or show any signs of having done any work yourself. Why is it that you can't work out how to use a timer, or a button ? Have you read any books on VB.NET ? Have you read any articles ? Do you know anything at all, to give you a basis to understand the answer if someone decided to do all this for you ?
