Creme Anglaise is made slightly differently to Custard, but the ingredients are to all intent the same.

Untrue: Custard contains...well...sugar, starch, and manufactured chemicals, mostly[^] with yellow colourant to make it look egg based.
"Proper custard" contains:
280ml (½ pint) milk
1 vanilla pod
1 whole egg
2 egg yolks
75g caster sugar
And a lot of hope that it doesn't overheat and split! 
Not saying Custard isn't nice - it is, with Golden Syrup Sponge, or Treacle Tart, or Jam Roly-poly, or...
But it's not the same, and it's not as good!

I would say I never use custard powder but that is a blatant lie.  )
Real custard is made by stirring the milk infusion into the beaten egg yokes.
With Creme Anglais the yokes & sugar are whisked together and then the hot milk is whisked in. Then everything is whisked again in a bain marie to thicken.
See, I does know some stuff.

...it's a Master Socket Splitter[^], if that's relevant...Thanks to @DaveAuld for the idea that these even existed, and the Fleabay link.
But...FleaBay offered me a "new way to speed up PayPal payments and improve my FleaBay experience".
Basically, you can link PayPal and FleaBay, so FleaBay retain your PayPal info, and you press "Buy" and "PayPal" and it all happens in the background without an explicit PayPal login.
Um. Is it just me, or does that sound like something I don't want to get involved in to you as well? It isn't that I don't trust FleaBay to be honest and not just sell me anything they fancy; it isn't that I don't want to risk the cat playing with the computer and buying a car... though (FleaBay is permanently logged in, PayPal isn't)
It's that I don't really trust FleaBay security that much. They have never really needed to be "money secure" since they don't deal with money - PayPal does that. So how likely is it that the database code came from QA? 
Any thoughts?

Today I am eating various leftovers. But tuna with a good hot chutney is surprisingly good.

I've been doing this for a bout a year and it makes it easy to purchase items but if you don't buy a lot there's no point.
As I grow older I've found that pleasing everyone is impossible but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake.

Don't do it. That's pretty much the same option as Amazon's OneClick, and on several occasions Amazon added rubbish to the order of the article I wanted to one-click-order without me being given a chance to decide against the added stuff. The good thing is, you can cancel Amazon orders, but this is not so easy on FleaBay.

Replace 'cat' with 'the kids' and that's exactly why it's a stupid idea.
But I suppose if your single, or with a partner and no kids it's a good idea if you want to save yourself time and effort. As long as it's properly pointed out what your doing.
I think xbox and PS got in trouble recently because they saved your details on FIFA. What was happening was parents were agreeing to buy there kids a £2 player update, and the 1st time they had to enter their details, but after that it remembered them. So kids were running up bills of thousands of pounds, just by clicking a button.

That is why the kids (or the wife) do not get near my PC's / Laptops and they do not have my account passwords to get onto the computer.
They have their own laptops/tablets/chromebooks etc. sort their own problems out!

Me, never bought anything from them. But the missus buys clothes from there and other similar sites quite regularly and she has a credit card she uses solely for the internet and nothing else. She can never find the card when she wants to buy something so this would save her not only the time entering the details but also the time looking for the card.

Well... if the TV itself has no buttons (or no buttons except maybe volume up/down and channel up/down) you're pretty limited without a remote.
Besides, you don't have to (physically) search for a paypal account (yeah, you may forget your login details. But that is, I think, another issue).
Oh and I have a credit card too, which I solely use for the internet. It's a prepaid one. And I otherwise NEVER pay with a credit card. (I mislike the idea of only needing a number to be able to pay for something. Sure, there is a security number on the back of the card. Good thing you have to provide that value to any shop you wan't to pay something for too  ).

As for the Ebay/Paypal thing.......they are the 'same company'*1, mine has been linked for a loooong time. Never had any problems.
All these payment services certainly make life easier I have found. Today I even paid for a Kickstarter pledge using Amazon Payment services, i.e. my normal Amazon Account.
Given we are in the UK, we are pretty well protected by all the various consumer protection laws, so if something was to happen, the Bank or the CC company need to sort it out.
*1 - Ok, from a legal standpoint they are not, but you know what I mean!

I didn't know that - still not sure I want to do it though. The Paypal account has access direct to my bank account, the FleaBay one doesn't. I'd be a lot less happy to be logged in permanently with FleaBay if I connected them.
