I saw his (aka 0x01AA) post that seemed to be getting up peoples noses last night (my hemisphere) and was surprised to have seen him silenced this morning.
At worst it should have been in the soapbo...hang on wasn't I having this conversation yesterday.

And didn't see that message and so, assumed it had been fixed. Trying to view his messages etc from that page failed just now. I didn't even think to try that earlier.
Seems safe to say the DRY principles aren't in effect when it comes to the rendering of member pages.

Yeah, more or less - with an individually differently placed border between "northern Germany" and Bavaria

I speak a bit of German myself (I understand the very basic, but have troubles expressing complex things), as I had it in school. But I can't say that I thought there were huge differences in the language in Austria and Germany, but that is based solely on TV shows involving detectives.

On TV (German TV at least) they mostly speak standard German or standard German that's only slightly flavored with a local dialect so that anybody can understand it. I once tried to communicate with a Bavarian who didn't speak standard German and I wasn't able to understand a word. When I switched to a nothern German dialect for giggles he wasn't able to understand me anymore either

It's like that here to on our local TV series, everything is being normed and it's quite funny to listen to sometimes, because you can tell that it's not really any real dialect.

Actually I think he is Swiss as he had the Swiss flag in his profile.
