In your datasource, there should be a column which denotes start or stop. let start is denoted by 1 and stop by 0.

What you have to do is just write a function which will toggle the values. Or if you are using image, it will show the image of start when it is 0, and the image of stop when it is 1.

the code will be something like

<%# GetToggledValue(DataBinder.Eval(Container, "DataItem.Status")) %><br />

here status is the name of the column for start and stop, and GetToggledValue() is the function.

It works with DataGrid. You have to use TemplateColumn

Regarding SoapSender and SoapReceiver

I had written server and client programs in c# using SoapSender and SoapReceiver class. I used soap.tcp://localhost:8080/myservice in Uri. It works well in localhost. Now please any body help me to connect two machines. By What value should I replace localhost? in both server and client part.

Hi everybody,

I am creating a small website, in which i want to use windows media player's video file. I am providing a navigation button which is an Image, to go through the website. But i want to keep disable that button untill the video is finished. Once the video is completed then button shuold be enable.

If any one can help me for this problem, please do my favour.

URL rewriting, /accountname --> /account?id=10

We need to make some URL rewriting in our application. Everything works fine locally, but we can't make it work on the production server (typical webhotel, no access to the IIS, etc.)

We have tried the following:
1) Redirect code in Global.asax
2) Redirect code in a HttpModule
3) UrlMappings in web.config

All of these attempts work fine with redirecting urls like /accountname.aspx, but we can't get them to handle /accountname (no file extension).

Any idea how we get URL rewriting to work with /accountname urls?

If you want the image as the item in the datalist then you can use item template in datalist for that purpose.

hi, how can i insert data from a database(ms access) to a datagrid. I want to choose the columns but. Because all i know is how to bind it all with the database. But i dont know how to choose the coloumns you want to be shown in the datagrid.

Hey.. you can go to the datagrid.. right click choose PROPERTY BUILDER.
then go to columns, u can see a check on the 'Create columns automaticlly at run time'
remove it and add Bound Column and make sure to put appropriate data field.

you can always count the number of cells in a datagrid.
so you can iterate through them.

I have never used more than one web.config file in an application.
never seen the need to.

We can have multiple web.config file for an application. If we divide our project into different folders, then each of the folders can have different web.config files apart from the web.config in the root.

When we access pages in a particular folder, it that folder contains a web.config file, setting there will have more priority that that of the root, ie., if you override a setting of the root web.config in the folder's web.config, the latter one will be used for the pages in that particular folder.

Yes We can have more than one web.config file. But each folder can have only web.config file. Lower level takes precedence over higher ones like web.cofig takes over machine.config. But you can configure higher web.config's setting in such a way that it cant be overriden also.
