Recently, I got an email that I had a reply to a forum message and followed the link to post my own reply (or at least see the context) - but it wasn't there, it had gone to moderation (from which I released it).
But if a message (or a QA solution) goes to moderation shouldn't the system send the notification when it is released, or never if it is crushed and used as fertilizer?
Just seems odd to email spam out which never appears on the site!

The message you get will only be sent to hi-rep members. It's a courtesy to let you know "don't panic - we got your message".
New members don't see this.

Hi all, it's been almost a week since I can't view CP properly at my workplace. As many of you know the company rules negate access to any domain not in their whitelist (not even Google or many services).
Now I can access CP but without any CSS and images, just seeing plain text and standard HTML controls.
Did you do something to the servers/URLs?
Of course any active content is now not visible to me and I'm typing in a 3x4 inches textbox so please understand any grammar or spelling error,

It looks like the site is now using codeproject.cachefly.net for CSS, images and scripts.
There are also scripts loading from ajax.googleapis.com, cdn1.developermedia.com, www.google-analytics.com and ad.doubleclick.net.

Could you guys provide the CPOL in other formats, like Markdown or plain text? I want to use it for a project I am putting on GitHub, and would like a Markdown version to put there.

I have a question about how the ratings for MVP are arrived at. If it is the number of posts in the "Quick Answers" section I believe your rating system needs to be revised.
Example: Sergey Alexandrovich Kryukov. After reading down a number of posts I get the impression that Sergey's primary contribution is stating why he believes the question can't be answered and that he can't imagine why someone would want to do that. Seriously! Read down the top 100 unanswered questions and look for Sergey's contribution.
I have yet to find an instance where Sergey provided an answer to a question, although others have provided answers suggestions and answers to the questions. All I see is noise.
Maybe at one time Sergey contributed useful solutions but it seams that time has passed.

MVP status is calculated on the contributions from the prior year.
If a person's answers are not answers, they should immediately be flagged as "not an answer" in order to close it. At the end of the year the points awarded for good articles and good answers will be tallied up for everyone and the top members awarded.

Good Point. Even i need to vote also a little bit for SA. Yes, I agree, it is boring to read always his comments "that is not bla bla". On the other hand, his comments/Solutions are most time very correct.

Hi. Today I've submitted my article[^] after its contents were drastically changed at more than 10 percents, but I've got no reputation points for. Is that actually something wrong with the "system" or the moderators decided not to add any point to my reputation ?

I don't know exactly, if this is a consequence of the article approval. Probably there's something's wrong with the system.

Look at the revisions of your article, Sean is the Editor for the revision "available" to public.

I agree too. When you're submitting an article for the approval, there's no choice of what particular editor will approve the article.

Since on revision 2 (first published), you are the Editor, I see no need for a change in updates.
The only reason I can think of is that when Sean is the Editor of an article or update, he can publish it without need of approval from others.
Consequences are that your update is on line faster, it reduce the approval queue, But you get riped from your Editor reputation points.

Near the reputation graph, go to privilege tab.
Author with platinum level have the privilege Create an article without requiring moderation
So my guess is that Sean is allowed to do this for its own articles. I understand Editor as owner of the revision.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you actually mean?
My article was approved, but I've never seen who particular
approved my article (e.g. the information on what particular
moderator has approved your article is never displayed anywhere).
I'm considering to be the Editor = moderator, Author = creator of the article.
Do you believe that something's wrong since my article was approved?!

See revision 2 of your article: you are the editor and you received Editor reputation points after normal approval process and first time published.
If you are Editor for a new article, there no reason for not be Editor on update.

Author: Post article A member receives points for posting a new article.
Editor: Edit Article A member receives points for editing an article - changing at least 10% of the content.
Organiser: Moderate A member receives points for approving another member's item as being suitable for publication
For me, it is clear you are the Editor.
