Dont know exactly what the original code looked like .. but I changed it so it works now (at least on my machine) 
Now one is at least able to see RAS-Entries and Dial.
This is how the changed function in Page1.cpp looks like:

i made a dial-up program in vb using mscomm its dialing the isp no. , asking the username and password , but after acepting the uid and passwd it asking to 'press F7 to continue' sowhats the last thing i should doso that i will be stay connected to net. please for heaven sake help me

I face a lot of problem in writing a C++ programming about modem dialing. The program should be able to able to dial a phone number through modem by using phone dialer, and should be able to play a recorded wavefile through modem.
Mr to Mrs., is not possible to provide me all the modem script codes (AT something)like ATDT?
WHat is the correct procedures of setting up the UART registers in handshaking?

Yes! BUT your source code downloaded is from nov.14.1999 !!! And it is totally full with bugs! It is not equal to the newest exe vesrion. Why don't put to here the true source version for downloading. In this form the downloaded source code unethically bamboozle!

I have problem with your source code too! Even an error occered when try to run the supplied program in WinME. It only works in Win2k. I try and try download the latest program and source. However, the links are broken. Please fix!

In my situation there is one 'server' (Win2000) and there are numerous 'clients' (Win95/98/ME/NT/2000). Both server and clients have modems, but no internet connection.
Now the question is very simple (even though haven't found a simple answer yet): how can I send a file from the server to a client using the modems? I've looked at RAS, TAPI and other complicated stuff , but surely there must be an EASY way to do this.
Looking at your app it's almost what I'd like to build. I just have to be able to write a service for the 'clients' to pick up the phone and then somehow send the file over the established connection... Any ideas?

Well, I've figured uit how to do it the 'easy' way and I've implemented it as well. It works pretty nicely. Here's what I did:
I took the MSComm ActiveX object and put it in my project. Looking at the functionality I wasn't happy yet, so I built my own wrapper around it.
Next I made connection via the modem by sending simple AT-commands throught the MSComm object to the COM ports like 'ATDT37' for calling the telephone number 37. I did have some problems using the ISDN modems, but found that using 'ATB20DT37' solved these problems...
Both my client and server application use the MSComm, topped off with a synchronous communication protocol I wrote myself. The system is now operational, sending thousands of files to about 20 clients throughout the country.

I wish to know how is it that I can just use the Entry Name of a DUN without needing to input the User Name and Password. I want DUN's currently saved user name and password to be used instead. In the MSDN documentation, it is from my understanding that if the szUserName and szPassword of the RASDIALPARAMS is set to "", the default saved value will be used. Trying it out in my own program didn't work. Neither did Alexander's dialer work.
Can anyone shed a light here?

You do have a small bug in CPage1::QueryConnections. You can correct this by replacing the line no 324 with the following
lpRasEntry->dwSize = cbBuf;//sizeof(cbBuf);
Then all works fine!

Get error attempting to view screen. 'Code page 1251 is required to support a Russian language resource in this file. See the 'Multiple Languages Resource Files" topic in the Miscellaneous section of the README. Cannot open this file.

You won't get any useful information from the help files. It will only mislead you.
Just install russian language support to your OS.
The way you do it is just execute to IE and select russian language encoding ,the browser will then prompt you to insert your IE or OS installer.

how can i dial an internet connection using windows2000 with a pulse telephone line.
i already changed the configurations in the modem settings tp pulse but still it dials with tone.
but if i tried to use the hyperterminal to dial the isp to connect i can.
so if my conclutions are correct, there are bugs in windows 2000 about its dialer.
cause i tried it with different windows 2000 too, and it has still have the same problem

what does your modem configuration string look like? If it has something like ATDTxxx, then it is going to dial tone. You need to send the modem ATDP7861234 to dial pulse the # 786-123
|

i have a similar question.
with the old win3.x it (and trumpet winsock - if i remember correctly) you could set some scripts for the modem, how to dial to your ISP.
nowadays (with Win98 SE) i can't find any place to activate or configure those kind of scripts.
in my scenario my modem should do the following:
a) with pulse dialing: dial "0"
b) wait for dial tone:
if (dial tone present) {
continue; }
else {
hangup;
wait (1 minute);
goto a); }
c) switch to tone dialing;
d) dial the specified number (to ISP);
e) exit
here are my questions:
1) how and where can you activate those scripts with windows dial-up networking?
2) how and where can you activate those scripts with the "afdialer"?
3) if it has to do with the modem "AT"-commands - where do you get some documentation on these, so you can successfully write your own scripts?
