Creating documentation in code is there already in my project. Now i need to do this using external document. It's like a RND task assigned to me. So I thought to ask this here as in I always got my solution whenever I posted any question. And no logic is given to me. Just I need to do RND and see if it is possible.

Need to add XML documentation through external file. This is a requirement directly from the clients so I can't say why they want this.

My code is working if the value is "61234"..
However, if the value is "1234" then it omits "12"..

Is it possible to search by line number and then replacing that particular line.
Actually my TL asked me to use this logic.

I checked that with all the values... None is null among them.

Data is there. If I just run the sub query it returns the value and if I hard code the value returned by the sub query then my Stored Procedure works fine. But if I use Sub query within Stored procedure then it do not give any output.

There's nothing like I am trying to hide what I have written till now. I always used to post all the codes here in Code Project. Content of DailyAttendance are: EmpId,Date,Status,Reason.

I have extracted the values from Employee table which consist of Id. And that Id becomes EmpId in DailyAttendance table. Now the problem is the values i send from angular to controller doesn't have any column name like EmpId. So the controller could not receive the value of EmpId.

Thank you so much... Actually it's not enough to thank you just with words. My module is running much better and faster than ever before. I don't have to do any work with code(no logic no sh***y work). The exception I was talking about yesterday was handled by database.

I got you.. I can use the concept of Compound keys. But since I never implemented this before I would like to know how to tackle with the error if any duplicate record is found/being inserted. Like what should be my next step.

This cannot be done. The data I am talking about is supposed to be given by other banks. And there are cases that sometimes they send duplicate records which are supposed to be handled by the application.
That is why I cannot block the creation of duplicate records.

Hey.. I thought for an answer. I will create an another instance of List(DailyTransactionPosting) and in the foreach if dPosted is null then I will add that object to the above created instance. And after the loop finishes, I will post that to database. I am not sure how it would work, but i will update you as soon as I am done with it. After all I got this idea only after getting into a conversation with you.

There can't be unique ID for the same Customers because everyday their data will be posted based on their transactions made. And i think db cannot decide this because both Customer ID and date has to be compared.
If it was only one parameter then I could have managed it on database level,but since I have to take care of two parameters,i.e, Transaction date, and Customer ID,that got me stuck.

What say??

This module would run on daily basis. So there will be customers with same Customer ID, however the transaction date will be different. So how to do this. I am not that good with Stored Procedures

My project is CBS and it is build on Desktop version. Now we are making it on web. Bank has to open and close their session everyday. Based on this session there are many other process that would take place. My session table has ID,OpenDt,Status,Date,AuthUser,OpenBy,CloseBy,OpenTime,CloseTime.

My question to you is how to update just Status,CloseBy and CloseTime???
Is Stored procedure is the only possible way to do this???

As of now this ain't a big problem.. But there are some other big modules where am gonna face this issue again. So there it would be a problem for me.

I am using ORM lite.. pretty similar to EF

Everything else works fine there.But still I can't figure out why it is able to post data only when I run the app in debug mode.

It does not post data to database. However,when I had a debug,it has posted the data.

Didnt get you.. My values are supposed to come from database. Let me explain you :
Table name is "ebRLMaster" and there is a column out there named as "ReportId".
I am supposed to bring all the distinct values from that column to the drop down.
I made a debug and found that the values from database are there in the variable "ds".
I think the problem is binding those data's with the drop down.

actually i created an incomplete form like i managed to display the no. of days under every individual but have no idea how to enter the attendance and how to save those to database.. i would really appreciate your help if you can help me to start from the scratch or any sort of help which you can offer me. hope to hear from you soon
