What exactly are you attempting to do? Just pasting a code dump is not enough information for anyone to help, though I will give you points for formatting it correctly.
VB Script? Honestly I don't know where you got this code from, but VB Script for server side development has gone the way of the dinosaur and using it for client side development like you are attempting to do was never recommended even in the late 90's early 2000's because of one big problem, it only works in IE.

This is not a good question because we are not able to answer it. We do not know the contents of your SSIS packages, your system, your SQL server specs, etc.
The best answer we could even begin to offer is take a small number of packages, say 4, and run each one through the upgrade wizard and time how long it takes. Then take the average of how long each one takes then multiple that by 80.

In your reply to my answer you did not even ask a question. You just pasted another error message. Was it just for detail or did you want help with that error?
Looking at you questions and comments most of them are just short "how do I do this" questions where you show not code and less effort. That just shows to the people on this site that you are not willing to at least put forth some effort in asking a question. You are just looking for a canned answer that works without you putting forth any thought or effect. This is very rude because the people on this site do this for free.

You don't necessarily need an SDK. Most likely the machine uses serial combinations to send and receive data. For that look at the System.IO.Ports class from the framework. There are also ton of examples of this you can find using Google. However you will need documentation about what what the equipment is sending and what data it is expecting to receive.

You are not able to do that. That is what we have been telling you. A web site trying to launch an exe on a local machine is a huge security risk. Today's browsers will not allow you to do this. You have to rethink what you are doing.
AnvilRanger
21-Aug-16 18:30pm

There really is not one. The browser is a sandbox and should not have access to anything outside of it without the user being in full control. You do not give much detail about what you are attempting to do, but if I ever found out that a plugin was communicating with an exe then I would see that as a security issue and immediately uninstall that plugin and report it.
The only option that I know of if you could possibly look at a Java app, but I am not a Java programmer and refuse to use any site that requires it anymore.
AnvilRanger

It does not matter what you want. If it does require a plugin there is nothing you can do to force setting changes. They are like that for a reason, to keep people from running malicious code.
Just think for a second if any of IEs settings could be modified by a web site. That would be a large security hole.
You have to work within the confines of a system. If you want the user to use this plugin then it will be up to the end user to enable it and make any necessary changes to his or her settings.

If you do create an intermediate layer between you app and the service you are not accomplishing anything. If they web service changes you have to change your code no matter where it is to reflect the changes.
So you would either change it in your app or your "wrapper" for the service call. So you would gain nothing.

In a nutshell your question is "How do I write software?" and that is well beyond the scope of of this QA. If you would provide more detail about what you are having problems with we could help you, but you are the best judge of your skills.
You say you are new C# or do you mean to say you are new to development in general. One is the most essential skills you will need as a developer is how to ask a question.
I will assume that you need to know how to call the omdb api and process the JSON. Look at the HTTPClient. And after that look at using Json.NET to handle the working withe the JSON response.

If you are asking how to verify the length of you @ID parameter, the answer is simple use you VB code to validate the length. Always and I mean always validate data you get from the UI especially text.
Now you ask why passing a 7 char value in works when the parameter is 4? With text data types SQL will always truncate to the max length. So in your case it take Shub.

I will give you credit for dreaming big, but you are wanting to take a nearly impossible task. If you really think about it, why do we not have this "cross platform web browser" already? The answer is rather simple every OS is different. Each one has unique hooks, different APIs, etc. Think about why the code base for browser like Chrome and Firefox are somewhat different for each platform. Add into that you want to support JavaScript and Flash, this feet is almost too much one one person to handle.
I would encourage you to try something simple, like a basic browser to display html and on a platform you are familiar with.
If I were to start I would user C++ as my choice of language. But you also asked for the easiest way, well there is no easy way. Just tons of hard work.

This is not a code to order service. You might new to DotNet development, but you can query Google just like anyone else.
But I will give you a piece of advice. It appears you are trying to use the FileSystemObject, FSO. My advice is don't. This is left over from the VB6 days. If you are working with files you need to look at the System.IO namespace.

Your question make no logical sense at all. If you think about your question in detail it will make sense. How would you be able to send email without an SMTP server of some kind? The answer is you can't.
No if you mean you do not have a local SMTP server, then look at using Gmail or one of several free web mail accounts. However this is would not be the optimal solution for a application that will generate anything more that a few messages.

There is no need to apologize. The subject of data encryption is vast and very few people are experts. Because you mention HRIS and from that select statement that you are trying to pull some data from an HR or Employee system. But I would guess that it is supposed to decrypt that field and return that value you need. I would suggest that you contact your HRIS department to ask about the function.

Your approach is wrong on many many levels. This is a very large security risk. While there are valid reasons for a server control a client like this I doubt your reason is one of them.
WCF cannot invoke a process on a remote machine like you are describing. It would work if the client and the server are the same machine, which I think is what you are seeing because your development PC is acting as both.
