Yes it did. So the alert() was not being triggered because of the typo but I also was checking the wrong IDs. Once the alert() started working I was able to trace the values and check the correct ones in my IF statements.
Thank you again for taking the time and helping me out.

The IDs are not important right now, it's not even triggering. The alert() method is not being displayed when I check the checkboxes.

I managed to get the type and sort the list:
list.Cast<mytypeclass>().OrderBy(t => t.Name).ToList();
Mastersev

It's a collection of objects and sort has to be in ascending order
Thx

OK I get the type as following:
Type[] listTypes = list.GetType().GetGenericArguments();
Type listType = null;
if (listTypes.Length > 0)
{
listType = listTypes[0];
}
but how can I create a new list with this type?

string[] parts = value.Split(new char[] {'(', ')'}, System.StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries);
string numeric = parts[parts.Length-1];
numeric = Convert.ToDecimal(numeric).ToString("#0.00");
while(numeric.Length < 9)
{
numeric = "0" + numeric;
}
return numeric;

Looks like I got it:
string[] parts = value.Split(new char[] {'(', ')'}, System.StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries);
string numeric = parts[parts.Length-1];
numeric = Convert.ToDecimal(numeric).ToString("#0.00");
while(numeric.Length < 9)
{
numeric = "0" + numeric;
}
return numeric;

Ok I tried this and now I got 37913.00
return Convert.ToDecimal(numeric).ToString("#0.00");
Note: The left side is always 6 digits if less then zeros must be added to the front
The right side is always 2 digits

string value = "White BOX, Inc. (037913.00)";
string[] parts = value.Split(new char[] {'(', ')'}, System.StringSplitOptions.RemoveEmptyEntries);
string numeric = parts[parts.Length-1]; //sic!
double d = double.Parse(numeric);
This returns a double ---> 37913
I need --> 037913.00

They are IDs :(

I will have to do it in c# and I will have to go through every single row (total 130000 rows). I have been advised to use hashtables to detect the difference faster in rows and update the target database row. I have to keep 2 databases synced using this application.
