Thx SAKryukov for your comment...But it is not the case here..I`m just a team member on this project which launched one year before...We almost done with it but we are facing this issue and its related to the MDI concept we are using...So the solutions here is not a lot..I should only provide the best solution/workaround to overpass this issue before the due date (after 1 month from now)...So if you have anything to help me, I`m ready to hear it...

I`m just working on this application for one year till now with a team of developers, so I can`t go and try to re-design all the UI interfaces and re-engineer all the written code.. This workaround provided by you is to manage data in a consistent state leaving the database in good shape.. but the draw back of this solution that its not providing better performance..So it is always like this choose the better way...

I think there is some ambiguous issue in the statement: "Oracle Blobs are not supported[^] by OleDb" because I already used this type to insert into BLOB oracle column and it succeed....So what I`m facing is only the select/read from this BLOB column through OLE object (OledbDataReader)...

I already checked those links in your post before I post here...

maybe you didn`t get me very well. I already checked the oracle connection type and it was successful retrieving the BLOB data from Oracle column but the issue here is why I got an error (Unspecifed error) when I use OledbConnection type which is mandatory in my case...thats why I need help...

I did what you suggest and used OLEDB connection type which give me a good solution... But I need some more little advise over here: What is the Oledb datatypes corresponding to oracle datatypes(Number, Varchar2, TimeStamp).....Can you help me plz..

You have provided me a workaround but not a solution....

If I walk with you with this workaround then I will have to implement the following requirements and you tell me if possible:

1) I should override the built-in Export of the CR viewer in order to run my custom code.....
2) I should develop my custom code to include function that change the printer into the ADOBE PDF Printer and then print the report...

If possible please provide the Vb.Net code...

One more details that may assist you to help me is that the reports are designed using Crystal report XI (11.0.0.893)...However the version number of the CR References that are added to my application source code in the Visual Studio 2005 is: 10.2.3600.0...

I just went to the Tools > Options > General in my Visual Studio 2005 and I clicked on the "Restore File Associations" button and a messagebox saying "All default file Associations has been restored" is shown, but nothing changed regarding my above problem...Is there any way or any additional actions I can try to solve it.

As for the old .Net version, I think it worth since my client is still using more than 20 custom applications developed using Vb.Net 2003..
