hey,

i know that there is mono from xamarin, for programming
android apps on c#. But there is the question, how intelligent is
that, or would it be just to programm it in java?

Request opinions and experience ;)

i think if you really want to develop apps in android it would be better if u do it with java.Moreover, Mono is intelligent enough to code with C#,i also test it but one thing you must remember,all of the properties of android(during coding) may not be supported by Mono.

That is a decision only you can make - but have you looked at the financial side? Mono for Android (the Xamarin product) costs from $399 per developer, you cannot create an application and load it to a real device with the free version, only run it in their simulator.

Unless you can recoup these costs or figure them into your development budget, you don't have a lot of choice except to go with java...

Hi Griff,

no there is no financial problem, there is just the problem, if
sth could occur what isnt realy solveable. I just want to know if
you could see xamarin as a real oppertunity for android?
