how to call sction method in javascript on form

I have Employee action, having methos validate(){//purpose is check the the dulicate or noe the enter id with db VALUES}, ON FORM I HAVE TESTBOX FOR THIS, RIGHT NOW W HAVE VALIDATE, and its working function, as per requirement i need to remove this validate button and move this functionality to on change event of textbox I need to call this action class methos thru java script, i need it very urgent, plz send me with sample program. ugent....................plz

You talk of doing this in Javascript, but you tagged your question J2EE. So which is it, Java or Javascript? Also, this is not urgent to anyone here, and no one is going to send you code on demand.

Hi, i have emp reg form, in that for new reg whatever enterid, is to validate with already existed empids in db to check for duplicate, for this right now i did this with validate button , and working fine. buw thwy said no need validate button and that validate functionality is moveted to onchange textbox. means once enter any id, on press tab to move to next field, then validation neeed to done and display proper messages for duplicate ids....plz send me the code, i need this urgnt

Sorry, but that makes less sense than your original message. Please use the Improve question link and edit your original message. And explain clearly what the problem is, without all these strange abbreviations (maybe type slower). And finally, this is not urgent, and nor are we going to send you the code (even if we knew what code was necessary).
