Is there alternatives for Microsoft SQL Server Agent in creating a JOBS?

Im Using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 2008 R2,
and the Server agent
whenever I start, On in services, it failed and stop immediately,
I change the value of this to 1 in registry and I still didn't fix the Problem...
Is there alternatives with this?

To be clear - you have problems to start Agent?
Can you look into Event Log and see why it's failed?

1. When i change the registry value from BLANK to 1.
-Server resumed execution after being idle 49 seconds: user activity awakened the server. This is an informational message only. No user action is required.

2.
-SQLServerAgent could not be started (reason: Unable to connect to server '1'; SQLServerAgent cannot start).

SQLServerAgent could not be started (reason: This installation of SQL Server Agent is disabled. The edition of SQL Server that installed this service does not support SQL Server Agent.).

I read some article that sql r2, is not supported by sql server agent
Now I know why,

I do not know what registry value you changed but according to the response in the error it should be the name of the SQL server instance - so do not change it.
Not all editions of SQL supports Agent - check your edition.

my version is Microsoft SQL server 2008 management studio express
SQL Server 10.50.4000

Management studio version is irrelevant here!
Check your SQL Server Edition (10.50.4000 means SQL 2008 R2 SP2)

Thank you sir, i knew that server agent is not supported in express edition,
is it possible to unistall this sql and install new one,
is there any bad effect when i do that?
im using Ms visual Studio 2010 ultimate also,

Yes - you can do as you wish, even side-by-side installation is possible...

What does it mean side by side?
I think i already have the version of latest sql server the r2,

and i want to seek advise from you sir., what will i do, my aim is to have a sql srver agent,

this is my plan,
1. uninstall the Existing SQL( or dont unInstall,? is it possible that when i install new SQL, some services of this will replace the existing or skip installing bcoz there is already?(correct me sir if im wrong.)

2. Install the i will install Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 Enterprise Evaluation: Trial Experience for IT Professionals.
- in this version i think it all ready have the things that i need,
but my problem is this is 1gb and i dont know when i install that, will consumed my physical memory...

Sir please help me to Decide. Thank you!

Side-by-side means that you can have different versions and editions of SQL on the same machine...
1 GB is a serious problem if you wish to run several services - if you have physical memory problem is best to remove all editions except the one you mean to use...

Is it possible that i will install only an SQL server agent in my machine without installing some of the features in enterprise edition? Is there an .exe file for that?

You can not install Agent without core SQL features...
While installing you can see the dependencies...

Solution 1

Not all SQL editions supporting Agent.
Please check your edition's features here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc645993(v=sql.105).aspx[^].
If you have access to other edition (that does support Agent), you can install it. For side-y-side installations read here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143694(v=sql.105).aspx[^].

Sql server agent could not be started
Reason from event log
The installation of sql server agent is disable the edition of sql server that installed does not support sql server agent
Can you solve this issue
