How to open any file in browser

i have list of file it is doc, pdf ,image ,notepad, exel any i want to open in browser.
how can i do that. is this any plugin or how can i do this task..!!

i have list only and now trying to open ....in browser

Tadit dash..i retrive files in listing..now i want to open it.in browser.but i have no idea how to do.
i serch for it..i found fancybox. for open file in browser.but it's not working for word file..(accroding to users comment mention). so have you any solution for it ??

Solution 1

The user needs some kind of viewer installed for any document you want to show. If I don't have Excel installed then how can my computer know how to interpret an xls file and what to show visually?

all software are installed allready.
but problem is that how to open it in browser .. i am trying to do in mvc5, jquery.

Just set the location of the browser to the document you want to show and the browser will either show it if it can or launch the appropriate viewer on the user's machine.

microsoft word file is not open in that way...pdf,image are open ...
