I'm sorry, I got lost in your discussion of the issue.
Could you please provide an example of a query that illustrates the problem, what you got and why this response was not what you wanted.
Thanks

Hi Matthew,
Well, yes, I am long-winded I hope if you re-read these paragraphs, you will see one specific example of what I am talking about:
"In the example search ... one I actually performed today because I am checking out the excellent MonthView Control that is on-offer in Jose Menendez Póo's sublime WinForm CalendarControl smorgasbord. For me, using Google was a slight improvement over CP search, or using the wagon with square-wheels approach of opening each comment-thread page, and manually searching for a keyword.
Póo's article does, indeed, have a vast number of comment threads, and I shudder to think of how many total responses might be nesting in those threads. I was lucky, in this case, because the topic I was interested in, "MonthView," was quite narrowly defined, which made it a good candidate as a search-engine keyword.
Sure enough, after about ten minutes of searching the comments on Menendez' article, I was able to locate code for implementing BoldedDates in the MonthView Control in a comment several years old. I am now adapting, and extending, that code, and, of course, will share it if I feel it is valuable for others." cheers, Bill

As far as I'm concerned, the word means: ‘I am looking. I am hunting for it. I am deeply involved.’” Vincent Van Gogh

At the top of the Comments section for the article is a Search box that will limit the search to the messages posted for the article.

Well, shiver me timbers, Mate, there is a Search Box exactly where you said it was !
But, it reads "Search this Forum" rather than "Search this Thread," or "Search Comments."
I assumed that Search Box was just "there" to save you a jump to the top of the page to search !
I really can't plead being literal-minded,either
Supposedly there is a plaque in the Alhambra whose translation is: "it is better to be born blind than never to have seen the Alhambra."
I will meditate on that as I come down with a major case of chagrin
thanks, Bill

Sometimes code, or in this case UserControl, reuse results in a less than optimal user experience. We leveraged the Forum code to provide commenting for articles and the wording is a result of this.

When I go to the bottom of any article section, such as here[^], I see what looks like an Admin groupbox - "Move selected Articles to a new section".
Now I am not actually able to move any articles because I cannot select them. I think.

Are you are able to select articles? I can change the values in the combo boxes, but I don't see a way to select articles.

Observation based on regularly flagging a lounge spam and then going to flag the account too and seeing that it's already gone.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Chris raised the user report level as some sock puppets were abuse voting members off too easily.

It's still apparently lower than the message report level.

Which is the opposite of what you said in your message title!

On the topic of the messages not being removed, it seems to be a bug that only happens in forums that don't have downvoting, like the Lounge.

I am sorry to bother you,
But if its not a problem please move my thread I accidently posted in the wrong category.
Thanks to Richard MacCutchan I saw the Free Tools section, whose existence I didn't know about.

Why does clicking on download link navigates away from the article?
Can we open the download demo link in new window?
e.g. A Pagination Solution using IEnumerable<T>[^]

How about right clicking the download link and click on "Open link in new tab" or "Open link in new window" (words may vary according to the browser used) Or you might take the shortcut of middle clicking on the link.

While going to some place do you ever select longest route?

Nitin Sawant wrote: While going to some place do you ever select longest route? Oh that depends. There are many factors which I usually consider when choosing a route. While the distance usually has the biggest impact on that choice there are also many others to consider. Like: How fast can I travel on that route, am I travalling by car, foot, train, etc? If so which one is more/less appropriate for the means I'm travelling with etc., what are the costs needed? You may cross a lake with a ferry or drive around for less money. I guess you get my idea
But tell me then: How is middle clicking longer than left clicking? it's just another button on my mouse The functionality of opening things in the same or a new tab/window is already in basically every browser so there shouldn't be any need of opening things in a new tab. Oh, and by using another mouse button I'm in control of what's happening too. Why would you want to take that choice away from the user? If it was opening in a new tab by default I wouldn't have that choice anymore...
Just because it might be more convenient for you doesn't mean it has to be for every other person out there. I for one (and probably many others) like it better the way it is, and it doesn't take me any effort to open it in a new tab if I'd wish to do so.
