Although I agree with the points (pun intended  ) you are making, I don't think it is a big deal. If you look at the Privileges tab on your Profile page, Debator points don't really give you a whole lot apart from adding to the combined reputation points.
Just my 2 cents.

Mmmh, precisely not. Some of the highest reputations are mainly due to the Debator points, and this is what I was criticizing. 87% of my own points are Debator points. 17% of your points are Debator points ( which is not much, but still 1 of 6 points).

It sounds like you are concerned about an overall Top 20 or Top 100 ranking. I was looking at what you can do with those points, in other words what privileges you gain.

This is specifically why we have different types of rep points, and why the privileges system is specifically tied to different reputation types. You can earn as much as you want in the Lounge but it's use is limited.
For me a high debator rep means you participate, a lot, and for that there should be a recognition. It also means you've been around enough to understand how the community works and for that you should have extra privileges.

When entering Code Project I get the warning "Your ads aren't loading".

I just noticed that I get no editor points when editing a questions/answer as the first one, only when the question/answer has been changed already are the point given.

Depends on the thingie you are editing. When I remember right you have to change 10 % of the content to get the editor points...

No matter how many changes I make I never seem to get the points, however even the most minor change (correcting spelling one word) on a question/answer already changed before do give the points.

I am writing a few articles on how to install a portable WAMP stack (without XAMPP or the like), and would like to suggest a new section like "Web Development --> Server Setup" or a "Portable Development Environment" section.
The actual suggestion came from a reply to one of my posts in The Lounge (too lazy to look it up, busy worrying about a very sick cat of mine).
