It appears they redirect to a different site. Not sure if the CP link is bad or if the actual site has issues.

It's great to have a Android App to post questions, follow discussions, and browse on code project articles which is simpler than mobile browser. It'll be nice to have so that users can easily interact with Codeproject on the go.

i have one problem with rating in code project i have rated on persons answer but i have made mistake in giving 4 stars i want to give him 3 start so for that i cant do anything if i add second time rating then my previous rating should be updated

If you change your vote, the rating is updated. It's not counted as a new vote.

Don't know if it's just me or my browser, but if I paste a link into an answer textbox, it often comes out twice.
I seem to recall having had this bug before a long time ago, but I thought that it had been fixed?!?!?
Example - this is the text "http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/241830/A-Tiny-Expression-Evaluator" pasted into this post, and the link appears twice, once with text and once with the url:

Ooops, you forgot to mention which browser you are using.
BTW, I have never experienced that problem while using IE8 on XP or IE10 on WP8.

Right now I'm using Maxthon, but I seem to recall that I've had the same problem with other browsers...

Hello,
i want to use some of the great libraries and code snippets, which i found here on CodeProject on a commercial product.
If they have a CPOL License, do i have to add a note on my about-dialog (well - i prefer to do that, but my customer doesn't want to have some "legal"-texts in the about-dialog)?
Does some part of the license change, if i edit the library?

If you're redistributing the code then you need to include license information and a link to the original code, but if you're building an executable from the source code then no, you don't.

Now that I think about it, I do see the logic that the whole purpose of requiring an explanation for a vote of #3, or less requires the title of the comment that shows up on the article to start with "My vote of #n." So, maybe I'm way off-base here. I doubt it would be worth the effort to allow appending to that "automatic" titling.

I wrote a rather lengthy explanation of why I voted a certain tip-trick #3 [^] which included links ... first I posted it as a comment, and then, since I wanted to vote it #3, I copied the text of the comment, deleted the comment, voted #3, and pasted the former comment text into the "explanation" field.
The explanation/vote then never showed up.
I think it's possible, that, by design, the explanation field is not designed to handle long comments, or html links, which is fine.
But, then, if you wish to re-title the auto-generated "My Vote of #" comment, after inserting text with links in it, you cannot re-title it to give it a more specific meaning.

It's partly down to the fact that there aren't enough people on the CP team to keep up with the demands of the site and requests for additional platforms. On top of this, there was no public API available so any attempts would have had to be done via screen scraping, which could limit how the site grows. Fortunately, the CP team is actively working on an API and perhaps the community can step in to provide the additional platforms.

When posting links as part of the text, like this[^] for example.
I simply select the word 'this' and paste the link in. This doesn't work however when the word you want to paste the link to begins with 'h'. So if I wanted to paste the link over the word 'here' it would delete the word here and replace it with the full link. So if I tried to write see here, with the link on the word here, it does the following.

It's not a showstopper as I/we can just link on the 'ere' part of here for example, but thought you might be interested in the weird behaviour. As it's something I've noticed before but hadn't pinned it down to the fact it's only words beginning with 'h' that causes it.

I hadn't bothered to check every letter. I have been noticing it for awhile but couldn't put my finger on when it was happening. Full marks for checking everything though.
