We can't tell you.
Not because we don't want to help, but because it isn't a clear cut "this is better" - there are too many factors involved.
Both Java and C++ are used to write 3D games, but generally speaking Java games are restricted to mobile devices - it's rare to see a PC, XBox, or PSn game that is Java - those are generally C++ (but not exclusively, C# is in there as well, and it's moving into mobile markets too).
If you know Java, then I'd suggest you stick with it for the moment (even though I don't like it as a language, C++ is better) if you want to get in there quickly or want to develop for mobiles. On the other hand, learning C++ could well be a better long term choice, but you probably won't see any useful results in terms of games for at least a year if you do go that way.

You pays your money, and you takes your choice, I'm afraid!

No.
And do not ask again.
"Book downloads" from the internet are nearly always in breach of copyright, and we do not condone, support, or assist in that in any way, form, or manner. This is a professional site for professional developers, several of which earn their living by writing the books others steal and upload.
If you ask again, you will risk being banned from the site.

Honestly, the inquirer did not ask for anything wrong or illegal. Sure, the question is naive, and so on, but there is nothing which implies a request for anything bad. Where? You should not assume that much and blame the inquirer; and there are no reasons for banning this person for anything.
