Hey folks,

Does anybody know what is difference between transport level security and message level security in WCF.

As per my understanding, Transport level security is desirable when both client and server are residing over same network(i.e. intranet), while message level security is good for internet.

But still my doubts are not clear. Because by both ways encryption and user authentication is possible and i think by the ways we will be transmitting data over the network only once. Also I think by both the ways, communication will happen via message.

Please reply if you have any idea.

As I recall, there were 37,900 other results returned by that search.
