Silverlight 5 and Performance of Office Applications

Could installing Silverlight 5 cause dialog windows in existing Office applications, incl. Word and Outlook, to load and unload slowly? It certainly seems that this is happening. Using Office 2007 & running Windows 7 (64-bit).

Unlikely, very unlikely, unless you deplete your system resources, which is also unlikely... It's easy to screw up Windows to degrade performance, by other means...

Solution 1

No Sl5 should not slow down your system.
You could disable the Silverlight plugin in the browser to check, but I doubt that would help you in anyway.
