Hover with your mouse over your name, then a dropdown will appear. Click on "My Settings", and go to the tab "Professional Profile". Fill all fields marked with a * and then your profile is 'completed'.

Actually I don't know, but you can ask this in the Bugs & Suggestions forum[^]

I missed it also when "Professional" was added. I thought a Professional was a user who reached platinum for all types of reputation
But then I posted a question about Professional in Bugs & Suggestions, and then it was clear to me.

Hello,
As your points increase, it symbolizes that your knowledge and skill increase too. Later it becomes an addiction to be the best of the best. Eventually after months of study and hard work, you will find that you are in an altogether different zone.
This practice increases your knowledge about the field in which you work. Please note one thing :
"Code Project" is one of the state of Art on line institute which enhances your :
1)Knowledge
2)Skill
3)Patience(Most important virtue)
4)Logical reasoning
5)Humbleness(this is what i have experienced)
6)Mentoring
7)Organizing things
8)Interpretation
9)Participation
....etc
and the top most virtue : Quote: The Desire to help
Please note this is an exercise which help developers to grow both as a developer and an individual(if you take it seriously).
The points which you earn here will ensure that you reach the epitome of all the qualities i just mentioned above. Write articles, study hard, solve doubts. You should make sure people are relieved from their doubts because:
Quote: Half knowledge is far dangerous than no knowledge
Try speaking or conversing with any of the MVPs or people with maximum points when you ask a doubt or any question in any of the forum as a matter of fact. You will be amazed at their knowledge and their wit, and their experience.
So when you gather those many points, then i will ask you:
Quote: what is this point ??
how to use this point ??
what should i do with it ??
These points don't give you any super power, but they are a reflection of your knowledge and skill.
I apologize if i am sounding rude, i am not being rude, but a little passionate.
Quote: Passion + Compassion + Knowledge =
I want to thank Sir Chris Maunder to start something so beautiful and amazing like code project.

When you change your password are you entering your Old password (the temp password) and the new password and confirmation and then hitting "update"?

Respected Sir,
I have experienced that my password keeps on getting changed on its own sometimes. So i usually click on the forgot password link to regenerate my password.
This password is sent to my email id and then i use it to login, now after some days it changes again. So what should be done in this case?
Thanks

There are regular updates on the points system and this can lead to restructuring of the points. most of us are affected with it

Hi
for the last year I got forum-notifications without problems. Since last weekend I get them no more
- E-mail address is correct and unchanged
- Option "Notify me .." is checked
- the mails are not in my junk-spam-folder
Is there a problem in the system?
Regards
Pierre
