On the submission page there is an option to submit either an Article or a 'Tip or Trick'.
Is a 'Tip or Trick' submission eligible for the grand prize as well? For e.g. A tip explaining the use of the stencil buffer in OpenGLES 2.0 in the x86 Android NDK? Or does it have to be a game?
Can it be a collection of techniques, codes (with explanations) that have been practically used in smartphone game development?

The contest asks for a game to be submitted, not just a tip.
We, personally, would love you to submit your tips, but unfortunately it won't qualify for this competitions.

Thank you for this information. I think I will focus on getting the game submitted and then submit the tips that I have gathered. I feel those tips are necessary to properly utilize the gaming framework that I'm leveraging.
One more thing,
To be in reckoning for the monthly $1000 prize, do I need to submit my game by 31 Oct 2012?
Or will the submission still be valid for the monthly draw if I submit by the last date, 6 Nov 2012? I think that I really could use that extra time.
Do let me know.

Great, I will focus on 31 Oct submission first.
Can I submit one more entry by 6 November to be in reckoning for grand prize? Or is 31 Oct the final date for this as well?
