Have you checked the service url?

I'm having the same problem on mine. I've even added a ClientAccessPolicy.xml file to the root of the website. This problem isn't plaguing me when running from localhost, but it is a problem on my test site. I'm thinking it's something to do with the cross domain security policy file, but I'm stuck there.

I copied the file under there to my directory and I'm still getting the same error. Is there something special that needs to be done for a Windows XP machine to be able to host WCF services in IIS?

Have u hosted WCF in IIS?Then copy that crossdomain.xml to intepub>wwwroot.
Hope this will solve your problem.

Hi,
I am working on Silverlight application in this I have to upload and display the images. I implemented this using silverlight service give below. THis worked fine for small size images and for images(memory size greaterthan 60KB) it is giving me exception as
"System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException"
"An exception occurred during the operation, making the result invalid. Check InnerException for exception details."
While debuging it is not even entering in to the WCF service. The control is directly passed to the Display Results method
I anyone know any solution to upload images of any size from a silverlight application please reply me.
Method in WCF service:
public List<AdImages> GetImages(byte[] imageData,string ImagePath )
{
----------Code to save images----------
}
public class AdImages
{
public byte[] ImgData { get; set; }
}
Calling service from silverlight application
Service1Client Img = new Service1Client();
Img.GetImagesAsync(fileBytes, ofd.File.Name);
Img.GetImagesCompleted += new EventHandler<GetImagesCompletedEventArgs>(DisplayResults);
Display results method:
void DisplayResults(object sender, GetImagesCompletedEventArgs e)
{
---------code to convert bytes to image and assign it to a image control---------
}
Thanks in advance.

May be because of maxBufferSize,maxReceivedMessageSize values in configuration.Check web.config for setting this values to higher value.

Hi Everybody,
I'm using WPFToolkit march 2009.When i bind the data to the grid dynamically.I'm getting one extra column(Empty) last , to avoid that i wrote 4 lines of code as follws,
foreach (DataGridColumn column in dgRecordSearch.Columns)
{
if (column.Equals(dgRecordSearch.Columns.Last()))
{
column.Width = new DataGridLength(1.0, DataGridLengthUnitType.Star);
}
else
{
column.Width = new DataGridLength(1.0, DataGridLengthUnitType.Auto);
}
}
But now first tome after button click I'm getting one column at first "#FF0054E3" if i click second time the same button everything is fine. only first time i'm getting this column. In my button click event i wrote the the code to bind the grid.
Sorry i forgot one thing: this problem with larrge data only , if only 2 to 20 records in my grid everything is coming fine.If more data exists this prob is coming.
Thanks in advance.

I doubt the control is showing data unless it's there.

Hi
In my WPF windows app, with MVP architecture, I have to download data from database into excel sheet with DOWNLOAD button. I have an another button STOP which has to stop the current process of downloading .
Say, for eg: I have data to download into 5 excel files, after a min or so, if i click stop button, it shuld stop at the point of downloading and by this time if it had copied to 2 files, then it should remain..
I am trying out for
1. The click of Download btn should start downloading(now its happening.. corrctly..) . But When i click stop it should stop at the point of downloading and retain the data...
2. Also, I have added an wpf progress bar.so the downloading of hte data should be linked with the progress bar data.. i mean if ti takes 170 secs to download from db, the progress bar should display the status of it..
Kindly help me.
Thank you,
Ramm

You need to run your download on another thread. You can then do progress notifications if it's a backgroundworker thread. To do a progress bar, you'd need to read your file a line at a time, so you know where you are at, to report progress. Or you can show progress one file at a time, and stop on that basis.
What is MVP architecture, do you mean MVC ?

Thanks Christian for the inputs.
so, the progress bar progress should be captured based on the total time it takes to download? Add all the files downloading time and show it in progress bar as whole??
MVP is Model view presenter. earlier we have Model-View-viewModel...and instead of MVC, we can use MVP architecture too.
Presenter has the ways of presenting the user requirements.
Thank You,

Well, it's up to you to work out what granularity of data you're capable of capturing, the point really is that I think if you have 5 files, five progress steps makes the most sense.

Sounds overly convoluted to me.

So what's your question? You've just stated that you have some problems, and have given zero information as to what these actually are.

I'm just starting out with a WPF-project and I need to know if there are any controls available that can be used as a WSIWYG editor for xaml objects. It should be something that can be referenced to our project and provide graphic editing for basic xaml objects. Anyone know anything about that?
Thanks for help!
|
|
|
|

Do you mean editing the objects within Visual Studio as you create them, or editing objects that are displayed in your application at run time? If the former then Visual Studio and Expression Blend provide these facilities.

Thanks for the reply. No, I mean like a control that you can embed in your own project. Perhaps something with xaml editing possibilities. Like a xamlPad control that can be embedded. Is there such a thing?
Thanks again!

Sorry, I'm not aware of any. I suggest checking all the WPF articles here on CodeProject and also Google search.

Hi,
I am developing an UI app, in WPF, for the Log window, I have xaml code
<ListView x:Name="lstViewLogWindow" ItemsSource="{Binding}" Height="152">
<ListView.View>
<GridView>
<GridViewColumn Header="Message_Name" Width="Auto" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path= Message_Name}" />
<GridViewColumn Header="DateTime" Width="Auto" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path= DateTime}" />
</GridView>
</ListView.View>
</ListView>
So, I have a grid view with 2 headers Message_Name and DateTime, and I want to assign the data to the 2 columns... I am not able to get the data displayed by using
lstViewLogWindow.Items.Add(msg);
Actually I want to add some msg into First col and date time into second column,
Please help me in doing this.
Thanks
Ramm

By adding the item explicitly you are overriding the binding mechanism. You should do it by binding. Assign ListView's DataContext with the list of messages.Something like this,
lstViewLogWindow.DataContext = yourListOfMessages;
|
|
|
|
|
Ya.. But its not displaying the text in 2 columns/.
I added DataContext..
lstViewLogWindow.DataContext = lstViewLogWindow.Items.Add(DateTime.Now);
how to add this to a particular header like DateTime
<pre> <GridView>
<GridViewColumn Header="Message Name" Width="Auto" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path= Message_Name}" />
<GridViewColumn Header="DateTime" Width="Auto" DisplayMemberBinding="{Binding Path= DateTime}" />
</GridView></pre>
Pleaes help
Thanks
Ramm

You have misunderstood what I said. Assign the LIST of MESSAGE to the DataContext.
e.g.,
lstViewLogWindow.DataContext = yourListOfMessages;
where yourListOfMessages is something like 'List<YourMessageType> ' and YourMessageType is a type having Message_Name and DateTime property
