No one here is going to provide the code to you.
Let's talk about the very basic implementation logic:
1. Create a module which will verify the existence of the user email which was used by him while registering with your website.
2. If email address exists, generate a random alphanumeric password (I hope you are not storing the user password in readable format) and send it to user's email.
3. Also, update the user's existing password with the new one just created in step 2.
4. User will receive his new password in his mail and can use the same for logging in.

I got the idea...I need to know the way to send the email to the user who forgot his password .......is it thru System.Web.Mail ,...if yes ...then how to do it......?

Just use proper html in the ItemTemplate.
Say you write like :
<HeaderTemplate>
<table>
</HeaderTemplate>
<ItemTemplate>
<tr>
<td>
NAME : <%# Eval("NAME") %></td>
<td>
PASSWORD: <%# Eval("PASSWORD") %> </td>
</tr>
</ItemTemplate>
<FooterTemplate>
</table>
</FooterTemplate>
Here we display data horizontally using table.
|
|
|
|
|
A bit of modification in your code:
<HeaderTemplate>
<table>
<tr>
</HeaderTemplate>
<ItemTemplate>
<td>
NAME : <%# Eval("NAME") %></td>
<td>
PASSWORD: <%# Eval("PASSWORD") %> </td>
</ItemTemplate>
<FooterTemplate>
</tr>
</table>
</FooterTemplate>
|
|
|
|
|
Hii,
This may help you. If you want to bind data horizontally:
<asp:Repeater ID="Repeater1" runat="server">
<ItemTemplate>
<%#Eval("Name") %>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:Repeater>
and this will bind vertically:
<asp:Repeater ID="Repeater1" runat="server">
<ItemTemplate>
<div>
<%#Eval("Name") %>
</div>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:Repeater>

Hi All
I need to implement voice module in my existing ASP.NET application.
Like when the page will open user will get the voice command instructions to use the application. (I don't want to use Microsoft agents for this because as per my knowledge microsoft has removed this technology in Windows7 OS and its later OS versions.)
Can anyone tell me what should I do?
Please also give me some idea about Voice XML and any other way to implement this feature.
Note: My web application is in ASP.NET 3.5 and C#.

If you are using this in your web application, you cant do this using normal html. Either you use silverlight (I dont know if silverlight has capable permission) or some windows application which the user might download to enable browser take voice commands.
Normal html dont have capability to handle voice commands.

Dear Abhishek Sur
I knew HTML is not capable to do this.
Please let me know do you have any idea about VoiceXML or any other voice streaming technology.
I don't want user to give command to computer, infact user will get inctructions from computer via voice commands to use the application.

Hi
I tried the same piece of code and it worked for me. Make sure that you first bind the data to repeater control and then make it false.

Hii,
You are getting error bcz your it unable to find th row at 0th index. So better use in the Repeater1_ItemDataBound event, also must check the condition:
protected void Repeater1_ItemDataBound(object sender, RepeaterItemEventArgs e)
{
if (e.Item.ItemType == DataControlRowType.DataRow)
{
// your code..
LinkButton lnk = (LinkButton)e.Item.FindControl("control_id");
}
}
Or you can also go for this: This code will work inside/outside of anyevent
foreach (RepeaterItemCollection item in Repeater1.Items)
{
LinkButton lnk = (LinkButton)item[0].FindControl("control_id");
}
Now choice is yours which is more suitable for you but also mind in which scope you are using the code.
