It seems to be your coding issue. If you will post here your code where your setting the session or retrieving the session. One more thing make ensure your session timeout value if sufficient.

Amusingly, it's not urgent to us. You should explain what code is failing, what you've done to diagnose the error, etc. You should certainly keep working on it while you wait for people who are not being paid to help you, to do your work for you.

Did you check the Sessionstate in the web.config file?
set the timeout=30
and also check httpRuntime, try to set the executionTimeout="7200".
I think your application's timout expires or something.
Try this and let me know.

Hello everybody,
again a question from my side. I've not answered questions here yet, I'm beginner :S
So here we go: I have an ASPX page where you must sign in with Windows Auth. Now I see IE saves my login all the time, but I want to login with an other account. If possible, how can I logout from the Windows Auth?
Thanks in advance!
Madmatt.

You should switch to Forms Authentication and use the ActiveDirectoryMemebershipProvider.

And how do I login then? Is it automatic like it is now or do I have to create a login.aspx page?
If I have to make that page, how should I do it?

Please read the resources provided before responding, the information is there. You will also find a plethora of information available on Form Authentication if you do even a cursory search.

See, if you know this little about what you're doing, you should not be working on a system that needs to be secure.

Hey, I've been trying to fix this and I haven't found anything on the internet about it. I have a text field, and when the page posts back, the value in it has a comma in front of what was typed in. I'm also using asp .net ajax on the page. Has anyone come across this one before?

It is highly unlikely that the comma is just magically appearing with no interaction. Perhaps if you showed some of the code involved we could spot the issue.

Hey, I think I found the problem, but it still makes no sense. I've been using the Ajax Toolkit in my project and I just put the latest build into my project. Anyways, I rolled back to the dll I was using before and the problem went away. I can only assume that there's a glitch in the toolkit causing it since none of my code was modifying field values including my hidden fields! I'm going to check out their developer section to see if anyone else has had this issue.

Hi folks,
I've notice with a project I'm working on that internet explorer tags the name of an anchor onto the page title if the page is loaded from a link pointing to that anchor.
Eg. "MySite | MyBlogTitle" becomes "MySite | MyBlogTitle#comments"
I've tried setting the page title in the page life cycle but the IE's behaviour seems to add the value after the cycle is complete.
Does anyone one know how to fix this without using javascript?
Cheers

I have seen in many sites. They display an advertisement banner on top of the home page and if user clicks on it he is diverted to that site else he got a option to close the banner.
I am trying to implement something like this but not sure where to look for the examples and what exactly is it called.
Please guide me to the right direction.
Thank You

Use AJAX Model Popup Extender for the same.

You want to show it in your page itself or want to redirect ? I didn't get your question clearly. Can you please give some more details.

He is speaking of those modal pop up based ads. Or the login popups we get on some forums.

It'd be a DIV styled with CSS. Close button will be an image and when it is clicked, a JS function will be executed which will set the DIV's visibility to hidden.

Hello,
I just started using NUnit to write test cases for my asp.net web application project.
Some of the code written to access database values fetches the ConnectionString from a "section" defined under "configSections" of web.config file.
This works fine during the normal execution of the project on a web browser. But when I access the same method through the test case, WebConfigurationManager.GetSection() always return null.
Initially I was also not able to access AppSettings section of web.config but it got solved when I copied the web.config file into the BIN folder. But still not able to fetch the "section" inside "ConfigSection".
Kindly suggest.
