javascript, and a timer. Or, an animated gif.

Do following steps in javascript:
Get the button control using getElementById function.
change css class name of button control( I guess you need to set the className property) with some time interval ( settimeout fnction)
You should have two different css class having two diffrent color which you will interchange to get a blinking effect!!!

Hi,
In my Intranet application when a user clicks logout Iam directing to logout.aspx page...
and in the logout.aspx page Iam using the below code to kill the session
Session.RemoveAll()
Session.Abandon()
but when user clicks back button the previous page is displayed..
how to avoid this...
or can we redirect the user to logout.aspx page when user clicks back button..
Please advise..

No
is the page containing the logout button a secured page
If so, that scenario will not happen
foreach(Minute m in MyLife)
myExperience++;

The main page contains the top menu links in which Logout is one of thelink
for example if a user does some transaction in the main page and later clicks the logout link, he will be directed to the logout.aspx page..
but when he click back button the main page is visible..
even though I had added filter that if the session is valid then only page gets visible...
I had just now checked in this site that when i try to click back button it assked me a confirmation when I clicked "CANCEL" it remains in same page If clicked "OK" it directs to previous page...
how can we do this...

When you use Response.Expires propery, the browser will be expired in a given time.
Then previous page is expired when user hits back button.

Where are you getting this error?
What about these Two :
OnPageIndexChanging="grdView_PageIndexChanging"
and
protected void grdView_PageIndexChanging(Object sender, GridViewPageEventArgs e)
{
grdView.PageIndex = e.NewPageIndex;
grdView.DataSource = bindgrid();
grdView.DataBind();
}

You can attempt this in two ways
1) Disable the back button (plenty of examples for that) and handle the backward navigation from controls on your page.
2) Handle the onUnload event in JavaScript and determine if it came from the back button
only two letters away from being an asset

can you send me a link please from one of those plenty examples. I tried many of them, but nothing is really happening on that specific file, the back button is still enabled.
thanks, Laziale

Fact is, you cannot reliably turn off the back button. You're better off just fixing your code so that the back button doesn't do anything you don't want it to, such as log people back in.

Try to use impersonate or create a different application pool for your web service with Identity of Local System .
