I'm sorry. I'm not sure how else to say it. I think what you're doing is stupid. I think your code is messy. I think this is just overall a bad idea. I would never consider doing anything like this. For all these reasons, I have no idea what the specific problem is. I think you need to import the code into your project, or at a minimum, add some debug code to the exe you're using to find out what the error is. If it's a third party exe, I'd say you're well and truly out of luck.

In the absence of any answer, I can only assume that your basic problem is that the exe runs on the server, and you're expecting it to run on the client. when you're on localhost, the server and client are the same machine, that's why it works.

Hy friends ,
I have already post for generating multiple gridview at runtime with delete and Checkbox facility . however i achieved this . but with a new Problem
I am generating gridview at runtime having delete template button .
in this delete button i am passing value to its through Javascript and Posting page to itself with different Querystring
window.location.href('Addwatchlist.aspx?watchName='+ id +'&vt=Del&st='+stoneid);
My all page method and code is working fine
Query string
http://localhost:1699/NewHK/AddWatchList.aspx?wtName=hy&vt=Show
now when i use delete template from gridview having three or four rows
querry string which is send through javascript works fine
the problem comes here
when GridView has two rows the Querrystring in URl Changes to
http://localhost:1699/øO«0¿s[^]
I am not able to understand what is happening at all
Again when thier is one row in GridView then alsoQuerrystring changes to
data containing viewstate event validation.........
^]
I am not able to understand what is happening at all
Plz suggest me where their should be mistake. As its is working Good with three rows or having tow or three gridview at display .All problem comes when their is only one single gridview with two or one row

This is weird. If there is no error for 3rd and 4th row.. there shouldnt be any for 1st and 2nd row.
Put a breakpoint and see what exactly happening in case of 1st and 2nd row.

hy Abhishek,
I mean to say when gridview has two or one row only than this happen.
if GridView contains 4 rows then for two delete option it works fine but now when GridView has two data rows Its doesnt work and Querystring for the page changes.
I am using javascript for response.redirect to the same page .
All the events flow are same for the page load event but result changes when their are two rows.
i am getting confused .

Did you mean Location.href ??
well. It would be hard to know anything if you dont share the code block with us. But i suggest to read that carefully if there is something weird happening specifically for first 2 rows. Debug the application using proper break points and step into each lines.

Buy any book for beginners in ASP.Net. It'll teach you all basic stuff.
This is best thing to do rather then visiting links for learning.

I will suggest you to buy some beginners ASP.NET Books. Start Reading and Try to Implement the demos. Then Read some articles on the topic that you have already gone through.

Use ArrayList or DataTable for that.

I use the following format to redirect from a search input text, but I have the following poblem:
when the input textbox (i.e. TextBox_Search.Text ) contains ++ or #, it results in wrong result:
e.g if I input "C++", then search_text is not "C++" but only "C";
if I input "C#", then search_text is empty!
this is maybe due to string problem, but I do not how to deal with these cases.
protected void Button_Search_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Response.Redirect("~/BookList.aspx?search_text=" + TextBox_Search.Text + "&search_based=" + DropDownList_search_term.SelectedValue + "&display_content=booksearch");
}
string search_text = Request.QueryString.Get("search_text");
|
|
|
|
|
why dont you use :
Server.UrlEncode("C#")
Thus
Response.Redirect("~/BookList.aspx?search_text=" + Server.UrlEncode(TextBox_Search.Text) + "&search_based=" + Server.UrlEncode(DropDownList_search_term.SelectedValue) + "&display_content=booksearch");
And also from client if you are using Javascript to send data use :
javascript: encodeURIComponent("C#")
I think this would cure your problem.
Cheers.

Hi, Abhishek,
I have one more similar problem, which I do not know who to deal with:
similary, I have one image field bind to the book cover, which is saved as the file path in a database, once again, I found that
if the file contains C++ then the image file can not be correctly bound to the image field.
do you have any idea why for this case?
<asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Book Cover">
<ItemTemplate>
<img style="height: 80px; width: 65px" src="<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "BookCover") %>"
alt="not available"/>
</ItemTemplate>
</asp:TemplateField>
|
|
|
|
|
Same as the earlier..
Does this work correctly ?
<img style="height: 80px; width: 65px" src="<%# Server.UrlEncode(DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "BookCover")) %>" alt="not available"/>
|
|
|
|
|
actually, I have tried this way, it does not work, but as you proposed again, then I tried again, and I find that the object should be conveted into string first, then it works! i.e.:
<img style="height: 80px; width: 65px" src="<%# Server.UrlEncode(DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "BookCover").ToString()) %>" alt="not available"/>
OK, great, I have got lot of help from you!
You are quit active in this area, hopefully, more help can be obtained from you!

|
|
Yaah... Right...
Server.UrlEncode expects the parameter as string ..

According to their website, they support .Net 2.0, but don't specifically say they have support for Crystal Reports. Is it possible for me to build a web application and include the Crystal .DLLs in my \bin folder so that the reports will run ?
Or do I have to have Crystal "installed" on their IIS server ? (That is not going to happen.)
|
|
|
|
|
Why dont you use RemoteDesktop client to connect to your godaddy server and install crystal report
Actually Crystal Report DLLs are installed with VS.NET.. So if you require them to called from bin directory, just go to Properties of the Dll and check Copy Local = true.
But mind that the web config has the entry to call the proper Crystal Report DLL from GAC. Also take a look into it.
