You should show your code...

Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I am new at this. I am part of the Michigan Disaster Relief and setting up a database of all our team members. I would like to be able to send a text message to a volunteer through my web page.
I have done it before and got a data base with cell phone providers. Draw back is I have to ask the volunteer who their provider is.
Is there anyway I can send a text message without knowing the cell phone provider.
Thanks for your help.

There are converters on the web that will convert from C# to VB, just google them.

Sounds like you've got Option Strict On , but Option Infer Off . Change the project properties to set Option Infer On .
Compile Page, Project Designer (Visual Basic) | MSDN[^]
Option Infer | MSDN[^]
Also, change the declaration of the twilio variable to:
Dim twilio As New TwilioRestClient(AccountSid, AuthToken)
If you're still getting an error, then post the full details of the error here.

I have created customise webserver control for gridview with paging and sorting. But i also want to give the search option on all fields. User will click on search button and a pop up (using Ajax) will be shown with all fields name and corresponding text box. Based on the input, gridview will show desired records.
Could you help me how to display a table which contains field name and corresponding textbox. I created that table on page initialization method but how to display that table over gridview
Thanks in advance

You said you wanted to use a popup so I'd suggest an easy one is using jquery ui's dialog. https://jqueryui.com/dialog/[^]
Essentially you have a div on your page that has your gridview in it and then with very little jquery you can show that grid. There are other dialog/popup plugins but this is very simple and easy.

Thanks for your response.
I have created webserver control for gridview which has paging, sorting and data export functionality. I also want search option on all fields of gridview. User will click a button on the gridview pager and a popup should appear with all fields-name with corresponding textbox. User will enter some value in the textbox and by clicking search button, gridviwe will rebind the data based on that criteria.

This is not how to use a forum; you're basically doing an open letter for someone to code for you.
From what you're describing, it sounds more like you are stuck on 2 or 3 different things. What have you come up with so far and what is is specifically that is giving you difficulty.

With above details no one will be able to get your problem details what you are facing.
Will suggest you to put your separate problems with code in question's section, it will help you to get solution faster.

I have a webpage in VB.net with a link so that when users click a url link, it directs them to an external website and it works but I want to add a extra layer so that it shows a message or intermediary page before the external page is loaded to the user. For instance, show a progress bar with delay and message stating "You are leaving this website" before showing or being redirected to the external page. I am using the code below to show the external link. Can you please help with this:
<a href = "<%# Eval("LinkUrl") %>" target="_blank"> Go to link</a>
Thanks in advance

I did do something similar quite some time ago which, while probably regarded as crude today, did at least work.
Essentially I had an intermediary page that took the target URL as either a query string (which could be the case here) so:
<a href = "<%=[urltoyourintermediarypage] + "?targetpage=" %><%# Eval("LinkUrl") %>"
target="_blank"> Go to link</a>
or as a variable (using an asp:hyperlink control).
The page then had a delayed meta-refresh to the target but while it was displayed showed a message warning that they were leaving the site and if they didn't want to continue to hit the cancel which'd just do a javascript history back.

Hi all,
I have a controller called EmployeeController, which has an action method GetEmployee to get a particular Employee details. For that it seems we need to pass Employee Id = 1 for example as
http://TestApp.com/Employee/GetEmployee/1, if I am not wrong. I am new to MVC.
But the requirement for me is to not to pass that Employee Id over the browser to get Employee details, can we have any mechanism to do the same to not to pass Ids over the query string or browser still can execute the GetEmployee action method.
Thanks,
Abdul Aleem

Yes, make the ID parameter as an optional parameter. By default, the ID parameter is always optional in ASP.NET routing provided in the template.
Secondly, if you would not pass it as a query parameter (URL parameter), you would need to pass it as a form encoded object, much like a POST HTTP request. Then, you would still be able to get the value of ID. But if you do not pass it, how would you know which ID to use to show the details?
Browser doesn't execute the method, it is your server that does! So the function is executed on your server-side, the URL is just required to map the request to a response.
class Employee : Controller
{
public ActionResult GetEmployee(int? id) {
}
}
But much recommended way is to design your routing in such a way, to have ID optional.
routes.MapRoute(
name: "EmployeeRoute",
url: "{controller}/{action}/{id}",
defaults: new { controller = "Employee", action = "GetEmployee", id = UrlParameter.Optional });
This is much better way of doing this!

If you pass the data via a POST (form submission) then it won't show on the url, however if security is your concern here then using POST is *not* secure, instead you should implement some form of proper authentication.
