i want to split date with separators with ' ' or '/' or '-'. i am trying to split the string with all this separators like
var temp1 = new Array();
temp1 = datevalue1.split('/','-',' ');
but it will not split datevalue1 string with all this separtors. but if i give only one paramert in split() function then it will work.
so please provide some guidance that is it possible to split string with multiple parameters?

split method has only one parameter as input. So you can't pass more than one parameters to the split method. All you have to do is to do the split one by one.

Hi i am new to ADSI programming , so please bear me if i make wrong statements
Created a method to get the user names as in a console application as...
private static string GetUserName( string loginName )
{
string strName;
string dcName = "";
string dName = "DomainName";
char[] sep = {'.'};
string[] str = dName.Split(sep);
int i, len = str.Length;
string appPath = "LDAP://";
for ( i = 0; i < len; i++ )
{
dcName = "dc = "+str[i]+" ";
appPath = appPath + dcName + ",";
}
appPath = appPath.Remove( appPath.Length-1,1 );
DirectoryEntry entry = new DirectoryEntry(appPath);
DirectorySearcher mySearcher = new DirectorySearcher(entry);
try
{
mySearcher.Sort.PropertyName = "CN";
mySearcher.Filter =
( "&(objectClass=user)(SAMAccountName="+ loginName +")" );
mySearcher.PageSize = 25;
i = 0;
SearchResult result = mySearcher.FindOne();
strName = result.GetDirectoryEntry().Name;
strName = strName.Remove(0, 3);
return strName;
}
catch(Exception exe)
{
throw(exe);
}
finally
{
if (entry != null)
{
entry.Dispose();
}
if (mySearcher != null)
{
mySearcher.Dispose();
}
Console.ReadLine();
}
}
But when invoked as GetUserName(loginName);
It showed an exception through dialog box as...
An unhandled exception of type 'System.ArgumentException' occurred in ActiveDirectoryQuerying.exe
Additional information: The &(objectClass=user)(SAMAccountName=user1) search filter is invalid.
Please Help...

Iam Binding a gridview through code without using Datasource.I have enabled Paging.But I get the below error when I click the paging below.Is there any other properties I have to set ?
The GridView 'GridView1' fired event PageIndexChanging which wasn't handled.
Thanks In advance..

This problem occurs when u have enabled the paging and have not written the code in page index change function.and even then trying to click the page no which got generated in ur gridview.
|
|
|
|

If you are populating you gridview in code you have to write code in you PageIndexChanging event to repopulate the gridview.
You start with the following line of code:
GridView1.PageIndex = e.NewPageIndex;
This is to get the Page you selected, but now you have to repopulate the gridview control.
Hope this helps.

BINO VARGHESE wrote: The GridView 'GridView1' fired event PageIndexChanging which wasn't handled.
As a result of not setting the DataSourceID property of the GridView to a DataSourceControl DataSource, you have to add event handlers for sorting and paging.

Hi,
I want to include the namespace system.windows.forms. but as soon as i do this in background compilation it gives the error,
Namespace or type specified in the imports 'system.windows.forms' doesn'contain any public member or cannot be found. Make sure the namespace or the type is defined and contains atleast one public member. Make sure the imported element name doesn't use any aliases.
What is the reson for this? I am using VS 2.0. Actually i want this namespace to use some datagrid functions like DataGridViewColumn,DataGridViewRow, datagrid1.rows, etc. Any other solution?
