You should research themes. Now, if the images changes or the path to it needs updated you need to fix the code, recompile, deploy and recycle the worker process, rather than update a CSS file.

So how is your poor design and understanding reason for me, or anyone, to rush a response to you?
Failure is not an option; it's the default selection.

In HttpWebRequest a user can pass Method as Post OR Get OR Put OR DELETE etc.
But for our specific project I need to pass HttpMethod as "POST /api/login HTTP/1.0".
But this is not allowed in .NET CF.
Then can any one tell me workaround for this please for customizing Http Method.
Thanks in advance.
Reasons are not Important but Results are Important.

Are you talking to a web service that requires a login first, before you transmit xml?

Anyone pls help,
i designed and tested my ASP.Net page locally with the Visual Studio built in test server and it worked fine, but when i hosted it, it gave me this error:
Runtime Error
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
And also:
<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>
Even with me modifying the code as the error message said it's still the same,
pls help.

1. Please don't repost the same question[^].
2. Explain what error you receive; we cannot guess what it may be.
Binding 100,000 items to a list box can be just silly regardless of what pattern you are following. Jeremy Likness

Not all the references (ddls) are hosted on the server. Make sure that you have deployed all the dlls and .net version is matching with development version.

Set CustomError Mode To ON instead of OFF, by this you can getexcat problem.

Bro,
i'm getting a runtime error and i modified the code just as the error message said, but still did not solve the problem

Wouldn't it a good idea to tell us what the error is, instead of pasting what you think the solution is?
What you posted is Microsoft's way of saying, if you want to see the error, then adjust your web config file to look like this. Then we will show you the error.
So do that, get the error and post it again.

There is a file in your project called web, which is a xml file. You have to edit the file element customErrors to mode = "RemoteOnly" like below, on your production web server.
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" />
After you edit the file, run the page again, and you will get a detailed error message explaining what error was detected, and then you can begin the process of fixing it.
It's done this way on purpose, so customers can't see your errors.
Or you can look in the event viewer of the server the website is on, and it will tell you what the error is.

fire_hawk wrote: "Data Source=123appsoft.com\\biodux;Initial Catalog=Ali;Integrated Security=True" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient"
Your connection string is off
Data Source is ServerName\Instance, so if your running sql server express, it would be, I guessing Data Source = biodux\sqlexpress
"Data Source=biodux/sqlexpress; Initial Catalog=Ali; Integrated Security=True;"
Give that a try, but research the name of the sql server and the instance

set the custom errors mode to Off and you would get a detailed error message that will help you to figure what the exception is.
Help people,so poeple can help you.

Set it like ,
<customerrors mode="On" .....
it="" will="" show="" the="" exact="" error="" is="" application.

Newbie at .net programming. Laptop started having registry errors with every update. Re-imaged laptop. Copied database from production (source control used). Copied programs from laptop before reimage and reinstalled. Can't save SQL 2008 module to laptop and access from solution on .net. Trying to make reports. On .net side when I try to make a dataset and connect to stored procedure, I can't. I looked up about removing source control (Tools, Options on .net). Am still getting lower left screen references to source control and red X. Do all of the programs and solution parts need to be removed from source control before this will work? Tried to explain to boss was still having source control problems. Said I shouldn't be trying to do anything with source control. Removed Seapine source control from control panel. Still having issues. Is there a way to check everything out from source control? I cannot make a stored procedure and make dataset for it on .net side. Help!!

I suggest you use use the community forum at Seapine, or purchase the support package from them. They would better serve your computer installation issues.

Yes
Member 7786203 wrote: I cannot make a stored procedure and make dataset for it
This has nothing to do with source control and there is no mention of why you think that you are unable to create a stored procedure.
Member 7786203 wrote: connect to stored procedure, I can't
Not at all helpful or descriptive of any kind of problem.
Member 7786203 wrote: Am still getting lower left screen references to source control and red X
Which means absolutely nothing to anyone reading your rant.
Member 7786203 wrote: Do all of the programs and solution parts need to be removed from source control before this will work?
Something else that means absolutely nothing to anyone but you. Before what will work?
Member 7786203 wrote: Trying to make reports
"Trying" implies that you actually attempted something but nothing in your "question" mentions any kind of problem with reports so why do you even mention it?
Member 7786203 wrote: Help!!
With what? You have not defined any of the alleged problems that you are having. We cannot see your screen, read your mind or open up any of the files on your hard drive. The only thing we can know is that you claim that you are having problems without knowing what exactly those problems are. No errors, no exceptions, no code describing what you have done.
Member 7786203 wrote: Can't save SQL 2008 module to laptop and access from solution on .net
Again means nothing.

oh touche, that was a direct hit. I wanted to say that but I held back. I'm not sure how far I can push it here on the Code Project, and what the limits are.
I use to use the asp.net forum, and if you say just something slightly offending, they delete your post. It's like walking on egg shells over there. Pure PC and totally out of control.
There sure seems to be a flood recently of scattered minds looking for people to do research for them here on the Code Project. I guess the secrets out, and perhaps a line needs to be drawn in the sand between code slavery and actual real help.
FYI:
The majority of post on this discussion can be Googled, and an answer can be obtained in as little as 30 seconds.
Good for you, oh that string to byte question, I thought I would just let the poster simmer for awhile on that one. I can't believe you gave him the answer.
