I have an aspx form which are having three usercontrols (basically 2 sets of radio buttons). All are placed dynamically on page load in a placeholder control.
I want to display the other radiobuttons(usercontrols) based on the previous selection. So for eg:
If I have three usercontrols, uc1, uc2, uc3 which are all having two sets of radio buttons. uc2 will display only if uc1 is selected and uc3 will display only if uc2 is selected.
How can I achieve this through jquery/javascript? All these controls should be loaded and visible should be hidden while loading the page.
I googled for sometime, but didn't get any effective result. Could anybody please help.
Following is my code:
<%@ Page Title="Home Page" Language="C#" MasterPageFile="~/Site.master" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeFile="Default.aspx.cs" Inherits="_Default" %>
<%@ Register Src="~/DI_UserControls/AppForm0602.ascx" TagName="AppForm602" TagPrefix="AppForm602" %>
<%@ Register Src="~/DI_UserControls/AppForm0719.ascx" TagName="AppForm719" TagPrefix="AppForm719" %>
<%@ Register Src="~/DI_UserControls/AppForm0466.ascx" TagName="AppForm466" TagPrefix="AppForm466" %>

</div>

{
SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection(System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["con1"].ConnectionString.ToString());
SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand();
cmd.CommandText = "sp_GetPages";
cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
cmd.Connection = con;
cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@PageID", 12);
cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@ApplicationID", 157);
SqlDataAdapter adpt = new SqlDataAdapter(cmd);
DataTable dt = new DataTable();
adpt.Fill(dt);
cmd.CommandText = "sp_GetPageDependency";
cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
cmd.Connection = con;
cmd.Parameters.Clear();
cmd.Parameters.AddWithValue("@PageID", 12);
SqlDataAdapter adpt1 = new SqlDataAdapter(cmd);
DataTable dt1 = new DataTable();
adpt1.Fill(dt1);
foreach (DataRow row in dt.Rows)
{
int colValue = Convert.ToInt32(row[4].ToString());
switch (colValue)
{
case 602:
obj602 = LoadControl("~/DI_UserControls/AppForm0602.ascx") as DI_UserControls_AppForm0602;
obj602.ID = "602";
DIPlaceHolder.Controls.Add(obj602);
DIPlaceHolder.Controls.Add(InsertLineBreaks(1));
break;
case 466:
obj466 = LoadControl("~/DI_UserControls/AppForm0466.ascx") as DI_UserControls_AppForm0466;
obj466.ID = "466";
DIPlaceHolder.Controls.Add(obj466);
DIPlaceHolder.Controls.Add(InsertLineBreaks(1));
break;

You have to create an empty container like a set of div tags, in the form or the control, assign an id to it, and use Java-script to write html in the container, creating a new set of radio buttons.
So if the DOM detects that the first set of radio buttons was selected, then the JQuery would fire and create a new set based on the result of the first set.
I've never seen an example of exactly what you want, but I have written code that does the same thing.

Each control rendered in an ASP.NET page has a unique ID (that can be queried using Control.ClientID ) that can be used to access the control from JavaScript (and jQuery).
You can set up client side event handlers for the click events of the controls and show/hide other controls using the display or visibility attributes of the DOM element.

I hope You have a back up of your site. If not then this will be a hard lesson. I did that once now I back up everything all the time. Good luck

The files are permanently deleted when you do that.
The only way to recover those files is to use recovery tools like PC Inspector File Recovery.

First it is not an application, it is an extender - a generic a behavior that can be attached to an element in any page in any application.

If I should decide then why I shared it. (of course not for honest feedback )

Firstly this forum does not provide code to order, and secondly it would be much better if you did some research and created an outline project to work on. Then when you have specific problems you can come back and ask questions here. Make a start by looking at the samples and tutorials on the ASP.NET[^] website.

I tried to add a reference to Watin.Core.dll, and got this
The project targets '.NETCore' while the file reference targets '.NETFramework'. This is not a supported scenario
I looked on Watin.org and didn't see version for Win 8.
Anyone know of an alternative that would work in Win 8 & pass cert?
Everything makes sense in someone's mind

Hi all. I'm working through the architecture for an ASP.NET MVC 3 solution. I like using LINQ and will probably use the entity framework against a SQL database as the persistence repository. I've seen a lot of examples now where a controller will send lambda expressions to the repository object as a way of indicating a filter, rather than having a specific function declared in the repository interface for the filter scenario. This seems convenient, and performs well as long as you have a LINQ-to-entities or LINQ-toSql compliant repository.
I started down that path, but I'm now concerned that it doesn't separate the concerns as much as it should. In the event a new repository layer was needed, one would need to build/implement something that can work with the lambda expressions (e.g construct SQL from the expression tree, or otherwise implementing IQueryable). Otherwise the use of LINQ would require loading a full set into memory from the datastore, potentially killing performance.
My question is this: is this a valid concern? Or is the support for LINQ-enabled repositories strong enough among enough database systems that the convenience of LINQ outweighs the coupling concern?

I have to access some of data through webservices. The web services done by c++ which is hosted on linux machine. Normally when we consuming the webservices, we can do the add web reference. but in that case, we know only the ip address and port of the hosted server. How can i consuming that webservice method directly using visual studio 2008.
Currently we know the methods of the web service, so just create sample web services in asp.net (*.asmx). then consuming that methods in our application, then changed the URL.
Please provide correct way to consume that.
Thanks

I Think you should enter a regular request path(IP:Port/servicepath) that requests the service in the URL field. being the web service developed using C++ and hosted on Linux should make no deference being the service return a text/xml response and the wizard does the remaining stuff.

Instead of creating proxy to web service,
you can try using Http Post/Get using HttpWebRequest/HttpWebResponse (WebRequest class in System.Net) to post a request to web service and receive response from the same. Hope it helps.
