You want to hide the icons on the desktop of a machine that is browsing your site in IE ? Why ? There's no way to do this without some sort of warning being shown to the end user, you're gonna have to write a program and trust that your users will install it. No way are you gonna be able to do that in javascript.

Actually am trying to create a transparent webpage.
if the icons are there in the desktop my web page can't be viewed properly.
that's why i asked how to hide the icons from the desktop???
and if you know how to set the transparency of the browser, please share it with me.

menus are a javascript creation. I don't believe there's anything built in to .NET, you need to write one, or find one.

I am getting the error "ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PLS-00306 Wrong number or type of arguments in call to SP_NAME.
I am calling the procedure SP_NAME and i am giving the same number and type of arguments
The stored procedure executes perfectly when i run in the sql plus

The Parameters what you are passing is not correct that is why you are getting the error. Correct them.

We did a deployment over the weekend which could have really gone south. In our situation we copy our files out to two shares. Then another group does the deployment which involves bringing down IIS, unregistering components, copying files, registering...etc.
I was considering writing an installer for them that would do the whole bit but I thought I'd throw this out to the folks here. Any suggestions, ideas or best practices??

You want to do this with the actual list ? I'm sure this can be done, web parts do it pretty much, but it sounds like a lot of work to set up, especially if you expect it to work cross browser ( may not be possible ).
The core issue IMO is that you have a CheckBoxList, if it's rendered and then you change the order, I am not sure that the postback will be able to restore the list from view state ( because you'll have changed the order of controls ).

Hi,
I am using asp.net 2.0 , in the master page i have a asp control that is a hidden field .
in onload function i am calling the javascript to the set value of the hidden field to 'false'
but that java script is not getting the hidden field control.
I need to access that control in onload event.
how i can do this or is there any other way
please help.

What do you mean by an 'asp control' ?
Remember, if you're doing any sort of includes in the master page, the path needs to be relative to the page which consumes the master page, not the master page location. Absolute paths seem the only viable way to do this.
The master page has a Page property, from which you can access the ClientScript class to call RegisterStartupScript ( this is all from memory, but the names are the only bit that may be wrong ). If you call this, your javascript will be inserted at the end of your page, which means that your hidden control is guarenteed to be visible to it.

Ok, basically I want the user to enter in items in a form and then click a button to post the page to another server. A regular form would be great, but the problem is, I also have to send secure credentials to the other server.
I don't want to put them in hidden fields since a View Source would reveal them.
Is there a way to post to a server from the Code Behind, yet have the User end up at the other server?
I have tried using the WebRequest class, then get the WebResponse and do a Response.Write to write the results to the browser. The problem with this is that it tries to resolve thinks like includes, images, and the other server's form ACTION tag to my server. So none of hte images show up and posting their form breaks too.
Did that make sense? Basically I just want to do a form post from my code behind and send the user to the other server along with the form post.
any help would be great, so far everything has been a dead end!

Any reason why you are not storing the credentials in a cookie?
If you set an expiration for a cookie, it will get saved to the user's computer, but if you don't set an expiration there is no way (that I know of) that the cookie can ever be seen by a user.
